Have owned the SUV for almost 9 years now, and not had any major issues on the vehicle that could not be repaired. The last few months have however been extremely awful, with the vehicle randomly shifting in and out of the 4WD modes while driving in speeds excess of 60 km/h as well as at low speeds. Once the vehicle moves into 4WD mode I am unable to get it back into AWD using the shifter switch. We have had an instance when this happened on the highway which could have led to a major pile-up. I have spent over $2000 in repairs (labour+parts) with the Local Authorized service agent, replacing the the Transfer/encoder motor on their recommendation however the issue still exists. This led me to research the problem further on the internet and have found that there are hundreds of others who face the same issue.

Why is Chrysler/Dodge quiet on this major problem?

I spent the last 9 years recommending Dodge and other Chrysler vehicles to my family and friends, however I was terribly wrong...
