This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
While stopping another vehicle hit consumer from behind, causing consumer to run into vehicle in front. Then, consumer ran into a fence. Passenger's side air bag deployed, but driver's side air bag did not deploy. Driver's side seat belt came loose and hung driver by left arm. Driver's seat broke, fell back, and hit child in car seat in the head, the middle seat where two toddlers were, also broke and flipped backward, consumer was injured, also stated horn and cruise control did not work, possible clockspring failure.
Rear seat belt retractor doesn't work properly. It won't give any slack, it gets tighter and tighter. If consumer had to get out in an emergency it would be impossible to get seat belt unloosened.
