Have spent money on a new fuel pump, fuel filter, crank sensor, oil change, still stalls. All of my problems started after taking to get yearly inspection. First time it stalled, I could not use the steering wheel or brakes. was able to get into a location without getting hurt. after 45 minutes started up and did not have another problem. next morning it repeated itself first in front of the house, then again in the same location on my way to work. Left work no problems drove all the way to another city, and the car would not start after 4 hours. went back with mechanic to get car towed and it started right away. drove it all the way to the auto shop and the car would not start after cutting it off. That is when we replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump and then the crank sensor. now the car just stalls just after starting. The engine light now comes on when at first it did not come on at all.

Grand Caravan SE 3.3L

  • Automatic transmission

MY WIFE WAS DRIVING OUR 2003 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN RECENTLY, WHICH I BOUGHT NEW IN 2003, WHEN THE ENGINE DIED FOR NO APPARENT REASON-THE POWER STEERING AND BRAKES BECAME INOPERABLE. THE VEHICLE SMASHED INTO A STONE PILLAR AND TREE ALMOST KILLING MY WIFE AND TOTALING THE VAN. NO AIRBAGS DEPLOYED AND MY WIFE WAS HURT. AFTER A BOGUS INSPECTION OF THE VEHICLE BY A THIRD PARTY INSPECTOR THAT WAS SENT, WHO ONLY TOOK PICTURES OF THE DESTROYED VAN , CHECKED SOME FLUIDS, AND PULLED INFORMATION FROM THE COMPUTER, CHRYSLER DISAVOWED ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE APPARENT VEHICLE MALFUNCTION EVEN WHEN THE INSPECTOR TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS NO WAY TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE FROM WHAT HE HAD GIVEN THEM. WE HAD AN EYEWITNESS TO THE EVENT AND POLICE REPORT THAT STATES THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT STEERABLE OR STOPPABLE.

I WILL NEVER BUY A CHRYSLER PRODUCT AGAIN BECAUSE THEY DON'T STAND BEHIND THEIR VEHICLES AND DON'T CARE IF YOU GET KILLED IN THEIR CARS AS LONG AS THEY GET YOUR MONEY. NOTE-WITHIN ONE YEAR OF THE PURCHASE OF THIS VEHICLE THE ENTIRE RACK AND PINION ASSEMBLY AND POWER STEERING PUMP HAD TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE THEY WERE DEFECTIVE AND THE STEERING LOCKED UP.THESE ARE POORLY MADE AMERICAN PIECES OF TRASH AND PEOPLE SHOULD BE WARNED THAT THEY ARE TAKING THEIR LIFE IN THEIR HANDS BY DRIVING THEM.

I was driving 2003 3.6 L v6 Dodge Caravan se millage 77,221.....As I was driving from home to the groceries the "engine cuts-off" Why ? No idea....I recently had oil change frequently every 3,000 miles & I recently had a tune-up change the spark plug & wire why this thing happens...I called my mechanic he said on Chrysler they have problem with cranking sensor or pcm ( dead computer )...I say the solution get rid off this vehicle and buy Japanese Automobiles.....that is how you fix this problem....Chrysler or American Auto Industries has failed me or disappoint me... I was pro-American and I burned by it...I was an Idiot....from now on strictly Japanese...Carlo Alinsod 1321 Mantle St. Parkville, MD. 21234 e-mail carlossandra@starpower.net tel# 410-665-2385

Grand Caravan Sport 3.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 63,988 miles

It will shut off while driving or in park or even at an idle. Sometimes it will start back up for a second or for a few or sometimes it'll be more then 30min for it to start back up. We have already invested $400 on "what if's". We haven't even had this van for a year. My honda hasn't even givin me problems and i've had it since 2003. Do dodge's suck? I'm starting to think so.

We have put over $600 into the van just this month trying to figure out what the problem is, nobody can help us, nobody knows what it is. It will drive fine and then cut off and won't start. Sometimes 30 minutes or so later, it will start right up, sometimes it won't. Please help!
