This engine light last year was fixed while I went for yearly inspection. Engine light was ON , mechanic changed EGR valve, reset the light make me drive 50 miles and he passed the car inspection. The engine light came on after 3 to 4 days after inspection passed. I drove for a year with it. This year for inspection the mechanic changed EGR,,Temp sensor and Gas cap.It still shows Engine light, Car runs fine but it is annoying. Any solution to it. How many parts needs to be changed?
Mechanic puts on Diagnostic on it change few parts, light goes out then comes back.Is there any permanent solution to it? sometime they will say it could be Computer or Exhaust system that means junk the car. You can not put four five hundred dollars every year to get an inspection sticker. Please see if any good solution to this Engine light problem.
