I love using my cruise control & now it has for some reason just quit working. I would just like to know how I could fix it myself because as most people I don't have the money to go to a dealership and have it done. What could be wrong with it?

No Cruise control. Driving along one day using cruise. Suddenly no more cruise control, just as if you had hit the off button.

Service engine soon light came on and cruise control suddenly went out right when vehicle hit just over 36000 miles and the warranty expired. The dealership wants to charge me the 80.00 just to look at it. That does not include any repair.
