This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
My headlights (both high beam and low beam) will turn off while I am driving at night. It can also happen in the daytime, but I notice it at night. Sometimes they will just go off for a few seconds and sometimes they will turn off and stay off. When they turn off and stay off I have to pull over (which can be hard in the dark with no headlights). Stop the car and turn off the car. Then when I restart the car the headlights will work again at least for awhile. Sometimes this happens several times a night and other times it won't happen for days or even weeks. The problem first started happening about a year ago with approximately 50,000 miles on the car. I have taken it to the dealer, but they can't find a problem.
While driving or parked & turned off with no one near the van, the engine starts, the horn starts blaring, the wipers turn on full blast, the wiper fluid shoots out, and lights wont work! at first, we could disconnect battery or relay & it would stop. The last time, we had to disconnect alternator. This is a major safety issue!
I bought the car on Nov. 2008, new from mccune Dodge, and for the last year the car has stall on 4 different times, haven't been able to duplicate the problem at the dealer, no sensor light comes on, also have been having different issues with emergency brake pad, the shift gear, interiors light on center-map lights flicker constantly and rear dome.
