I had a problem with the key not coming out of the ignition. I changed the battery in the key fob, and the car battery was weak, so I put a new battery in the car. Key still wouldn't come out. So. I took it over to Marimes Dodge in Great Bend Kansas I ask them what it would cost to fix this problem he said they would hook it up to the computer. I am an electrician and I told him I check out long all electrical problems. He said didn't matter they would put on the computer at a cost of $300.00. I drove away and start reading about the shifter problems. I started by taking the shifter knobs. Bingo Something that the Dodge Shop could and should and been the first thing that should be checked. It is very obvious when the pin that extents out of the shifter was not coming up.

It took a squirt of WD40 and let it set for fifteen minutes. Took a cleaning cloth and wiped off the WD 40 and then applied 3 in 1 oil and it works fine.

The real problem starts with Dodge Bean counter that think up ways of making repairs cost thousands of dollars. Then there are the so-called Dodge Engineering only a brain-dead person would not understand a piece of plastic rubbing on that metal pin would need to be cleaned and lubricated. But I guess it is just easier to overcharge and screw the customer and put the car on the computer, then using WD40 to clean the dirt and 3in1 oil for a real easy fix. I also will be reporting this to USAGOV 1 844 USAGOV1.

It will be a damn shock if anyone gets back to me on this problem. I drive old car because the new ones are Crap.
