problem #2

Grand Caravan SE 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission

Yet again my caliper, Rotor & brake pad on the driver side need replaced, not 2 1/2 months and less then 300 miles driven in the 3 months since they were last replaced on 7/27/17.

Grinding, Clunking, stopping problems on the front driver side wheel, the brake pad has ground thru the rotors that were replaced on 7/27/17. I have only driven the van less then 300 miles. This vehicle is a Lemon for the braking system.

This is absolutely ridiculous and again calling the dealer he puts me off for 1 week, says it can't be the problem, it has to be something that I am doing. Wants to charge me $17 to take it for a test drive just to tell me that they can not reproduce the problem. I paid $1800 for a 10 yr extended bumper to bumper warranty that I can not even use, because the dealer keeps claiming not to find anything wrong with it. Yet every other car repair place does. This is not only a problem with the vehicle but with the service manager at Cunningham Dodge in Edinboro PA.

This is my 2nd Caliper on the driver side, as well as my 6th set of brake pads and 2nd Rotor. My vehicle only has 31000 Miles and I have replaced 6 sets of brake pads, 2 sets of rotors all the way around and 2 calipers on the driver side and 1 on the passenger side. This is ridicules, if i drive more then 5 miles it smells like burning brakes and the dealer just keeps dismissing it, claiming not to be able to recreate the problem and just keeps trying to sell me new tires and paint protection...no doubt because I purchased the extended warranty. Yet I go to Monroe or any other mechanic and they immediately find the problem and fix it for Cash, not covered by warranty.
