The dealer (B & B Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, 125 grandview ave, honesdale, pa) was contacted and stated that the VIN was not included in any recalls. The failure was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign number: 14V632000 (tires), but the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was notified and informed the contact that the vehicle was not under recall. The failure mileage was 87,000.
The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan. While driving at various speeds, the tire pressure monitoring system warning indicator illuminated. The contact stated that the tire pressure was checked and air was placed in the tires, but the warning remained illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the tire pressure monitoring system sensor failed and needed to be repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 34,000.
