Driver side sliding door is stuck in the lock position. It wont unlock with the remote, button inside or manually. Keeps showing error messafe if you try to open it that the door needs to be unkocked but will not unlock. Very unsafe since minivans are for family's and bow in the case of emergency I cant open that door. Especially since the vehical has less than 60K miles on it.
Left sliding door will not open from inside or outside the vehicle. Passengers on that side would be trapped in the vehicle in an emergency. It will not open with key fob or manually, from inside or outside.
Sliding door behind driver locked will not unlock. Googled problem many vehicles with same problem. I use these as school bus and cannot use it now.reading about problem Dodge fix is a $1100 dollar fix.

Both sliding doors will not open - jammed in locked position. Cannot manually or electronic open. This is very dangerous as I cannot get my grandkids out of the van in an emergency. Also unable to use the van if there are more than 2 adults. There was no incident that caused this. Worked one day...next day didn't work. Happened within a couple weeks of each other (the doors)
Takata recall - our problem is that the sliding side doors will not open. One played out about 6 months ago and the other played out a week ago. I've took it to be checked out at auto zone and none of the fuzzes were blown out. By it being considered a new vehicle the side doors shouldn't be having any problems!
The driver side sliding door faults to locked position. Cannot manually override lock with the any action. The leaves passengers in the rear trapped in an emergency situation. This is the case if the vehicle is stationary, in motion, in the city, on a highway, turning, and any other situation. It is always locked. The car has 50,000 miles.
About 3700 miles the A/C stopped blowing cold air. Vehicle equipped with R134A. Put my gauges on vehicle way low add some stop leak w/leak detector. Found that the valve in rear A/C leaking. Around same time driver rear sliding door stopped unlocking and opening, the child lock lever moved by itself. So I moved it back to disable and that worked for about a weak. Then it started to make a noise like gears were jammed or rubbing together and then it just stopped. Dorr remains unlocked now w/no sound from actuator. Transmission seems to slip and lose power.
Approximately 1 week ago my rear driver sliding door became stuck. Upon searching online for a fix I found what appeared to be hundreds, if not thousands of people with the same problem. I attempted every thing we could think of. Trying to open or unlock the door via manually, via key fob, and via interior buttons. Nothing will open this door. It is stuck and cannot become opened or unlocked. My daughter has a disability and sits on this side. This is a serious safety issue that Dodge needs to address. Does my daughter have to die by being trapped in the van before Dodge does something? this isn't a new problem and is affect multiple Dodge vehicles.
The vehicle would not start. And as a result I had to have it towed to rick hartman in aberdeen, wa. When the vehicle arrived it still would not start and so it just sat there. The next day, they attempted to start it which it did. But no codes came up. My attempts to get help from Dodge have come up a zero. They opened a case for me and stated that someone named amber would get ahold of me in 1-2 days. That did not happen. No loaner was offered. And it is still sitting there a week and a half later with no action.
While in my driveway (vehicle was stationary), I attempted to open the driver side sliding door. The door was not working manually or electronically. Dashboard screen said unlock door to operate, but the door is stuck in lock.
Passenger side rear power sliding door is locked shut. It will not unlock manually or via key or interior unlocking button. There is no way to open this door. This is a safety concern; if anything were to happen to require this door to be used as an emergency exit, there would be no way to get the passengers out of the vehicle.
The passenger side sliding door automatically locked while I was driving as it should. However once the lock engaged, it would not unlock and the door became inoperable from both the inside and the outside. This is incredibly dangerous, because if there was an emergency I or first responders could not quickly get to my son, especially if the other door were to fail in the same way.
When the car was at approximately 20,000 miles, the driver side sliding back door stopped opening. It appeared to be stuck between lock and unlock. It is unable to be unlocked with any amount of force, which rendered it unopenable from both the inside and outside of the car. It is a safety hazard which would prevent emergency services from getting to the passenger in the event of a crash or rollover. It renders a main exit useless in the event of an emergency.
My 2016 Dodge Caravan was parked in my driveway overnight. In the morning, the driver side sliding door wouldn't unlock neither manually or with the key fob.
Been for repair twice in 3 months first time sliding door on drivers side would not unlock.second time sliding door on passenger side won't lock. I feel these are safety issues
