Passenger rear door would not lock and I have been unable to secure my car from theft. I put gorilla tape on the handle to discourage anyone from opening it. Then it started buzzing. My mechanic has "fixed" it twice, and he has it locking for now, but it buzzes EVERY TIME the door locks or unlocks. I am unable to keep spending money on fixing it and now understand that it is a known problem with this vehicle. It needs to be recalled and dealer needs to pay to fix it.
Left side door will not open. Electric door. I have a handicap grandchild and small grandchildren that I will not be able to get to fast enough in case of a fire. And if other door goes out, how will I be able to get them out. ITS A FIRE HAZZARD.
The sliding rear passenger doors have faulty lock actuators. Looked on my forums and tons of people are having the same issues. I had one door actuator replaced a couple years ago. Now my other door actuator is acting up. Dodge will charge $600-$1000 to replace.

Driver side passenger sliding door is stuck in locked position and will not open manually or electronically. This poses severe safety risk in the event that passenger needs to exit vehicle quickly.
My right side passenger door is 100 percent stuck in the lock position. We have car seats in the captains chairs and can not tend to the children properly because the door will not open. There is not even an option to open manually! We need the doors to be easily open to get the kids in a case of an emergancy
Driver side sliding door locking mechanism will not unlock and hence the door cannot be opened from inside or outside the vehicle. Has not been diagnosed by dealer or any others. All other doors work as expected. This is true safety concern. In the event of an emergency, a person sitting adjacent to this sliding door would not be able to escape. Should absolutely be a recall. A true safety concern. There are may people complaining of the same problem on the internet. Should not wait until someone dies to address this issue.
On June 3, 2022, the rear sliding door on the passenger side of my van wouldn't open. It can't be opened via the fob, the button above the driver's center console, nor by hand. It will not unlock. From inside the cabin, I can't unlock the door either. At present, this hasn't put anyone's safety at risk, but if I had had passengers in the back, and we'd been in an accident or some other situation that required us to quickly exit the vehicle, exit would have been impeded. I have an appointment with the service section of the local Dodge dealer. I'm finding online that Chrysler has extended the warranty on door lock actuator on the 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan to 15 years/150,000 miles. I'm within that window, but whatever the problem, I want it documented. There were no warning lamps, messages, nor symptoms of the problem before it occurred. I had no odd sounds from the door motor/lock mechanism nor any warning messages/lamps. The door just wouldn't open when I went to open it this morning.
Passenger side rear siding door will no longer open manually, using the button on fob or using the open door button at the top near the overhead console. This poses a safety issue not allowing passengers to exit the vehicle as the door will not even open manually. Appears to be in lock position and will not move.
Door actuators buzzing everytime it locks and unlocks. Apparently there's a lot of people complaining about this. Why isn't there a recall? It's really really loud.
The driver side sliding door is stuck in the locked position and the passenger side sliding door is stuck in the unlocked position. The driver side door cannot be opened at all.
Both driver and passenger side sliding doors are stuck in a locked close position. This is VERY scary I am a family I have 4 kids that could be trapped if there is ever an accident. I have searched online and have seen so many cases of people dealing g with the same stuck sliding door issue. This is a major security life threatening problem
My passenger sliding door will not unlock. I have tried to move the lock but it will not move. I have tried using the keys it will not unlock. I know this is a problem for other 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan owners too. I only have 61,000 miles on my van. It is a safety issue that I would expect the manufacturer to resolve. I hope you will require the manufacturer to fix this problem. As others mentioned this is not just happening on one side of the car but eventually happens on both sides.
The driver's side sliding door won't open, and the passenger side sliding door sometimes will open a little and then reclose. Dodge extended the warranty in January, but the mileage on our van puts us outside of the warranty. However, when our door stopped opening, our van would have been in the warranty. I consider this a safety issue. We have taken the van to the local dealer, and the issue with the sliding door is what the extended warranty was intended. Since we are outside of the warranty, Dodge/Chrysler will not cover the expense of repairing the door.
Passenger side sliding door lock, no longer locks/unlocks via lock buttons unless lock on door is manually locked/unlocked by hand. Driver side sliding door makes a grinding sound when using lock buttons to lock door. No sound when unlocking this door.
The actuator on the sliding door of the minivan is stuck in the unlocked position. This means that the door cannot lock under any circumstances. When driving the door remains unlocked and there is no way to lock it. The other sliding door was previous stuck in the locked position and I had it replaced by a mechanic.
