My wife's 2009 Dodge Journey came with tires bolted on with Magnum(?) lug-nuts. She had a flat tire and when I went to jack the car up and take the bolts off I discovered the crappy lug-nuts have thin, cheap aluminum caps on them (to make them look like quality lug-nuts, but believe me they're not!!). Every single, F*CKING one of the caps got jammed in the tire wrench, forcing me to spend 15 minutes for each lug-nut, to pry them out of the wrench and go on to the next one. May I just say how I felt after 75 MINUTES of this crap?! (&@!!@!!) Thank you Dodge!!! Great FCKING cheap-ass choice!!!

Did I mention that I was only able to successfully retrieve ONE of the FIVE lug-nut caps on the one tire undamaged? The other 4 had to be chiseled and bent and torn into little metal shards to get them unjammed from the wrench...Can you imagine my poor wife, if she had a flat tire on some lonely stretch of highway somewhere?

She would have gotten one of the lug-nuts off, the first lug-nut cap would be jammed in the wrench and then she'd be stuck in the middle of no-where with a flat tire, a now useless tire wrench and no way to remove the remaining 4 lug-nuts to change the flat tire!!

Anyone owning any Dodge vehicle with these piece-of-crap lug-nuts are suggested to make sure they carry not only a tire wrench (tire-iron), but also a screw driver and good hammer (to chisel the cap out of the wrench), pliers (to tear the shards of the cap out of the wrench), and plenty of band-aids (you will need them...). A good stiff drink after you eventually make it home couldn't hurt either...

Seriously, hadn't there been a recall of these crappy lug-nuts??!! I'd love to mail them to Dodge and tear a strip off the cheap asshole who spec'd these damn things!!
