The gas tank will not fill up all the way. Found a fuel tank vent filter inside the drivers side rear fender well that might be the issue. The gas tank can not fill up all the way if the air can not get out. The filter is $11.00 to $20.00 online but I have not replaced it yet. Still waiting on a call back from the dealership.

We had dealership fix first problem of not being able to fill tank completely, got car back and found that we can only put a little over 15 gal in car at a time, not good if we want to travel, it was advertised as over 20 gal tank. Dealership says not their problem it came from the factory. Corporate office will do nothing

Disappointed with the 20.5 gallon fuel tank when it cannot be filled more than 14.5 gallons at a time. The reserve is 1.5 gallons and I've verified this with Dodge. Very disappointing to not be able to get the mileage out of the tank that we should be able to. Had the system checked and found no issues.

Journey Crossroad 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission

My tank in my 2016 Dodge Journey is suppose to be 20.5 gallons. When my light comes on and I go fill up, I can only get 14.5 gallons. I am only getting about 200 miles per tank in town which is a hassle with having to stop and get gas so frequently. And I can not rely on the gauge on long trips. Very frustrating

The journey has a 20.5 gallon tank, but no matter how low I let the fuel gauge go, I can only get 14.5 gallons of gas. I have complained to the dealer, and to dodge directly. The dealer denies any issues, and tell me the gas gage & remaining gas miles are just estimates. Dodge told me that some there could be a few gallons in the engine. Which does not explain why the gas tank can't be filled with more then 14.5 gallons of gas.
