The contact owns a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact stated that the plastic tethers on both rear seat belts were fractured. The contact stated that the tethers were being used to hold a child safety seat only. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The failure mileage was 110,000 and the current mileage was 136,000.
The consumer was injured when the air bags failed to deploy in an accident. Consumer had two surgeries since the accident and had been unable to receive any help regarding the accident. (passenger submitted report) the seat belt failed as well. Updated 07/17/06. Updated
