Ram 1500

  • Automatic transmission
  • 38,000 miles

My Dodge Ram is a 2008, but lady driven by me and taken care of extremely. With only less than 40,000 miles on it. This and other problems did not occur due to extensive mileage or normal wear and tear but rather poor construction and faulty construction. I should not have to deal with the extensive cost for repairs on a truck with so few miles. I called Chrysler and they asked me to take it to a local dealer for diagnosis. The customer rep, Samantha.....assured me that Chrysler was going to help me out as there is also a problem with the multifunction module ( wipers not coming on, blinkers not blinking.....etc) and it also needs replacing.

I came very close to having a major accident that could've cost my life and my grandson's life due to my windshield wipers not coming on. With less than 40,000 miles.......these type problems are not only dangerous.....but unacceptable.

Samantha instructed me that after I received the diagnosis on my truck from the dealer......they would let me know how much they could help me out. I was reticent to take to the dealer because of cost concerns and told Samantha this.......and she replied that she had sent my complaint up to escalations and they would help out with costs due to the truck having so few miles. Irregardless of it being a 2008, because these problems should not be occurring. I told her I needed to know that Chrysler would help me before taking for diagnosis and her reply was that it pretty much assured since she was escalating the case.

I took the truck for diagnosis.....called Chrysler with my case number and it had never been escalated as Samantha had told me and Crista stated that Samantha did not have authority to tell me the info that she did, as she was just level 1 service rep. Chrysler customer service basically lied to me.......led me to believe they were going to help me with the issues with my 2008 Dodge Ram.

I have since learned they are number 4 in customer service and satisfaction......and that ain't good. The service rep at the dealership said that Chrysler is one of the worst when it comes to customer service.

My bill for these issues is $1495.00. An exorbitant amount, especially for such low miles that caused/causes extreme safety issues......and now....it seems......Chrysler is backing out from helping me when they stated they would.
