The contact owns a 2010 Ford Edge. The contact stated that the driver's door failed to close and the door ajar warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to townsend Ford (340 main St, townsend, MA 01469, 888-708-7319) to be diagnosed, but they were unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was taken to acton Ford (76 powder mill rd, acton, MA 01720, 978-897-7000) where it was diagnosed that the latch assembly and housing switch needed to be repaired. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted and did not assist. The failure mileage was 63,000.
