'power steering assist fault' power steering access fault code displays on gauge cluster and steering wheel has no power steering. Very difficult to drive and dangerous. A recall for 2011 and up Taurus was issued but not the 2010 which have the same problem. The car is not derivable and not safe to drive this way. This happens on start up and stays this way in every gear, no power steering available.the Ford Taurus sho 2010 model has the exact same part for the steering as the 2011-2015 model that was recalled. Ford did not include this model with the recall and it suffers the same problem, sudden loss of steering with no warning. My car lost steering when driving but did not cause me to wreck. This car should be included in the recall.

I I bought a 2008 Ford Edge several years ago. I totaled it but the air bags never deployed. I then bought a 2010 Ford Edge in 2016 and I bought it not knowing about the recalls. I he been in a reantal all summer and they Ford dealership in ladoga said the parts are in for the recall. I'm not it's not in the system anywhere and now I had to take it to another dealership because my hubs are messed up and my car died from parking it in the sun. I need to know what's going on. I have children and just want to be safe since ladoga sent me away saying my car was okay and didn't have any problems.bur now Ford wants 2,590 - 3,000 I'm with out a rental no one would provide me and the children one it's been several weeks now

I recently had to replace power steering lines in my vehicle due to metal corrosion rusting through the lines and causing the fluid to leak out, this issue has repeatedly caused my car to go out of alignment and has ruined my tires. The power steering was not working properly to the point of being dangerous because of it. Because my car is only 7 years old I am wondering if this corrosion would be covered by some sort of warranty or if this is under recall? especially since my car is under recall for gas tank and air bag corrosion. I have reported this to Ford as well. The repair just of the power steering lines cost me $500. I still need to replace all four tires as well. This defect is dangerous. Metal parts should not be corroding on cars.

Car jerks and anti lock/traction control system tries to engage during turns to left pulled codes from car they were P1650 power steering, dealer said this was tied to anti roll and also control transmission and brake system and would cost me $930 to repair, next code was P1703 brake switch, then code P1780 transmission control. Its obvious Ford Motor Company knows theirs a problem with this type of auto..research on internet show this same problem since 2007 or so to present!

Started noticing a vibration in steering at slow speeds when pulling into or out of parking spaces. Took to the dealer for repair at 34,000 miles a few weeks later and dealer at first could not duplicate the issue, then with my help identified it as a power steering pump and replaced. The next day, say issue and they then stated it was a normal characteristic of car model. Warranty has since expired and has gotten significantly worse and mileage is currently 49K as I am a sales rep and log a lot of miles. I also began getting a loud popping noise in the front from both sides at about 38K miles, predominantly left side, especially when making low speed turns and/or going over small bumps, like when entering or leaving a parking lot. I have not taken it to the dealer for inspection but have had a local midas check for an issue twice with nothing found, but issue is also getting much worse.
