The contact owns a 2010 Ford Edge. While driving 60 mph, the contact heard an abnormal noise as if a gun were fired. The contact stopped the vehicle to check, but did not notice anything. The contact resumed driving and still heard unusual noises. She stopped and exited the vehicle again to find that the sun roof had fractured. The vehicle was taken to a collision center and the sun roof was replaced. The cause of the failure was not disclosed. Sunset Ford (6616 166th ave E, sumner, wa 98390, (253) 863-2211) was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 99,800.
The contact owns a 2010 Ford Edge. While driving approximately 30 mph, the power sun roof opened and failed to close. The sun roof remained continuously in the open position. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the entire sun roof would need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure.
