The contact owns a 2017 Ford Edge. The contact stated while driving approximately 30 mph, the brake pedal was depressed and went to the floorboard. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal was depressed however, the brake pedal was mushy. The brake pedal went to the floorboard. The contact stated that the vehicle ran over a curb and an embankment. The parking brake was engaged to stop the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer to be diagnosed. the contact was informed that the brake master cylinder needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The failure mileage was approximately 24,000. Consumer stated vehicle was taken to dealer and inspected and determined brake lines ruptured. Consumer never received a recall prior to the incident.
