I just received a call from our local Ford dealer's service department confirming coolant intrusion into cylinder #1 on my wife's 2017 Ford Edge Titanium with the 2.0 EcoBoost engine. The dealer is filing a case with Ford. I'm not getting my hopes up b/c from what I understand, Ford is doing nothing to help the owners with the costs. I heard a TSB was issued, but no recall to replace the engine. Unfortunately, this could end up being a very costly repair. My wife and I have really enjoyed the car and hate that this is happening. I first noticed the coolant level was running low on a couple of occasions. I then noticed a rough idle from time-to-time. Most recently the vehicle had a severe "shake/vibration" when accelerating which prompted me to take it in. After researching the 2.0 EcoBoost, I began to worry about coolant intrusion which has now been confirmed.
