The contact owns a 2017 Ford Edge. The contact stated that a crack had formed over the passenger-??s side dashboard where the air bag was located. Over time, the crack on the dashboard expanded. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure was confirmed; however, the mechanic found no defect with the vehicle. The contact was provided an estimate for the repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and agreed to cover 60% of the cost of the repair. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 58,000.
We were driving down Hwy 84 in Georgia coming from the airport a truck was making a left hand turn and turned in front of us.. We hit the car going about 30 miles an hour.. The air bags did not deploy and we suffered greatly because of this.. This happened 2/14/21..
This vehicle was involved in an accident when another vehicle crossed its path going the wrong way on a one way street. This Ford Edge struck the Ford F150 broadside at approximately 30+ mph at about a 20 degree angle drivers side hood and fender and windshield broken. The steering wheel air bag did not deploy, and the knee bolster did not deploy fully. This caused serious injuries to the driver.
"takata recall" I have a slit on my passenger side airbag.I just noticed it one day getting in my car.I took it to oxmoor Ford several times, they took pictures and finally called me back after several times being there and said they were not going to fix it.
Takata recall car was purchased used. I received a recall notice. I've visited 2 different Ford service departments for a total of 5 times. They do not have parts. I received a notice from tk holdings Inc. About takata's claim for bankruptcy. I am driving an unsafe car. Ford has not been able to acquire parts. The car has not been involved in an accident. The notice from tk holdings cite that, "you (or, in the case of a wrongful-death claim, you represent) may have claims against the debtors, including for monetary loss, personal injury, or death (in each case past or future) on account of your current or past ownership of a vehicle contaning a psan inflator regardless of whether such psan inflator is subject to a recall or has all ready been repaired or you have thus far suffered no loss, injury or death on account of your psan inflator..." in my case, I am exposed to future injury and am thereby asserting my claim.
The contact owns a 2017 Ford Edge. The contact's vehicle spun around a few times. The air bags failed to deploy. The vehicle received damage to the front end and was no longer operable. The contact's wife had the vehicle towed to the rodio Ford dealer (located at 13680 w test dr, Goodyear, AZ 85338; 623-298-3900) who then had the vehicle towed to the unlimited collision body shop (located at 8112 N 75th ave, peoria, AZ 85345; 623-979-7565) who deemed the vehicle totaled. There were no injuries and a police report was filed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 3,000.
