The contact owns a 2008 Ford Escape. Seven days after the vehicle was purchased, it failed to start. The dealer stated that the accelerator pedal cable lines failed. The repairs were made at the manufacturer's expense. On a separate occasion, while driving less than 40 mph, the contact heard a loud revving noise. The vehicle was hesitant to pick up speed. The accelerator pedal became inoperable and the contact coasted the vehicle off the highway. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and they found that the accelerator pedal cable lines failed again. The manufacturer assumed liability for the second time. The current and failure mileages were less than 29,500.
