Escape Titanium 2.0L I-4

We picked up our car on 1-31-19 then a few weeks later used the horn and is was embarrassing. It sounds like a clown car. We were tempted to take it back. Whoever decided to change the horn really messed up. I'd say it should be a safety issue.

Escape SE 1.5L-Liter Ecoboost I-4

I leased this new 2019 Escape on February 26 and the next day discovered the lousy sounding horn. I took it back to the dealer to have them take a look at it and they said Ford changed from a dual horn to a single horn in the 2019 Escape. I've had two Ford Focus cars prior to this Escape and their horns sounded great! Now, 2 months later, the horn is making a wobbling sound occasionally when I used it. The dealer said I could purchase a new "third party" horn of my choice and they will only charge the labor to put in a new one, plus buying the new horn. What kind of deal is that!

Escape Titanium 2.0L T

The issue was reported to the selling dealer today ( March 15) and I was told that this is common with many of the new models. An appointment was made for March 26 in order to examine the malfunctioning horn. Since this is my third Ford Escape I am familiar with the horn sound/operation and this is not COMMON. I seem to remember having a tricycle as a child which had a much louder "horn"! Personally, I would characterize this as a safety issue that will be reported up the chain even if it is resolved.
