Consumer complained that mfr./dealer not honoring mfr. Recall notice #98S-14/ NHTSA #98V-095 000 concerning lugs: Nuts may not create sufficient clamp load, allowing wheel movement in relation to the hub/ rotor mounting surface.
Consumer complained of dealer / manufacturer not honoring recall notice concerning lugs: Nuts. Recall notice infomed consumer that a second notice would be sent as of third quarter. It is alresady the fourth quarter and no notice was received. Dealer is unable to get parts.
After making a turn the wheels never straightened up. Then the wheels came off, and the vehicle hit a brick embankment. Dealer and manufacturer have been notified.
Rec'd notice 98V095000 & notified dealership. Took vehicle to 2 different dealerships & both times informed vehicle needs to be left for 3 days. Don't know when able to get to vehicle & do not know if parts will be available. Owner not satisfied with answers, and cannot leave vehicle that long.
Recall for lugs: Nuts also affects brake hub area of vehicle. Due to undertorqueing, brake rotors warped. Also overtorqueing causes difficulty in changing tire in the event of a flat.
