Odometer blanks out no digital read out for mileage, seats are torn badly don't use or drive that often 1 or twice a week it has only 145K miles. Now, the air line has been replaced and it low in rear with compressor can't find leak and believe the air bags will need replaced trying to find out where issue is and no warning light this time on dash like usual.

My husband was involved in a rollover accident on his way to work. His air bags did not go off. Thank god no one else was injured or killed. He has bruised ribs, a head injury, concussion and abrasions on his head. He had bruises and scratches on his neck. He had braced himself on the steering wheel, hoping the air bag would go off and never did. Ford took the claim but have not heard from them thus far. We have heard this is not the first time air bags have not gone off. He is lucky to be alive. The vehicle is totaled.

We first noticed a problem when it was raining. The airbag light would intermittently come on. Then we also started to notice that the heater / A/C fan would continue to run after the vehicle was shut off. On Sunday 4/30/06, I was driving in the rain on a freeway & the wiper light started to come on & the airbag light was on. Every once in a while, the wipers would not work properly. On my way home, again on the freeway in the rain, the wiper light & the 4X4 light would flash off & on at the same time & again, the at times the wipers would not work properly. The next morning as I drove to work, again in the rain, only the 4X4 light was flashing & the rear wiper would not work. Also, the front wipers did not work intermittently. I specificity recall turning the heater fan off that morning before leaving the vehicle. After work, I attempted to unlock my vehicle w/the remote unlock & it would not unlock. I manually unlocked the vehicle & the dash lights were on. It looked like I had not turned the key off all of the way, but I did! and the vehicle would not start. I had to walk a couple of miles to my husband's work & he had to take his lunch early to bring me home. Ford had better get a recall out on this. Not only is it very inconvenient, but when your wipers don't work in the rain, it is very dangerous!!! I had to get the vehicle towed the next day. After the repair facility sent 2 1/2 days trying to determine the source of the problem, they discovered that water was leaking by the windshield onto the GEM module & the fuse panel. Not only do I have to pay $477 for the parts only, I also have to pay to have the windshield resealed. What a joke!!

I was driving home after work traveling at approximately 55 mph. An oncoming Chevrolet pick up truck made a left hand turn into my path of travel. I hit the truck broad side on the passenger side spinning him into a 3rd vehicle. Upon impact there was no deployment of the airbags on the driver or passenger side. The vehicle has been totaled, therefore no repairs.

The air bag light continuously illuminated on the dashboard. As a result, the air bags were inoperative, and wouldn't deploy when needed. The manufacturer has been contacted but is unwilling to send a representative to look at the problem. The consumer also spoke with the dealer about corrosion on the doors.

The airbag indicator light when on and according to manual it said to bring it in to the dealer. They check it out and found that it was a side impact airbag sensor. This car does not have a have a side impact bag. We were informed that even though we donT have side bag, the front bags would not work because of the way Ford programmed the airbags. I searched the internet and found several others with the same problem with their air bag indictor light. I believe this false indictor could be fatal if not relsoved in a timing manner.

Air bag light will intermittently come on and off. Since 2000, the consumer has taken the vehicle back to the dealer at least twice a year, for this problem, each time the dealer would re-route wires, but problem is reoccurring.
