The ear that the cam adjuster rests against bent backwards allowing the upper "a" arm to become loose. The incident happened while making a sharp left turn from even pavement to a ramped side street.
Making sharp left turn heard loud metal noise. Noticed front end dropped. Mechanic did not find problem at first. Noticed upper control arm had bent. Had front end aligned, wheel bearings had overheated/rotors warped. Needed truck checked.
