My brakes failed while driving in traffic. I managed to steer while keeping the brake pedal deployed to the floor and pushing the emergency brake at the same time. I had to run into the curb to stop myself.

As I was backing my truck out of the property I applied the brake and the vehicle accelerated. I moved the gear shifter to neutral. I thought I may have pushed the brake and the gas at the same time. I then drove 13 miles to the store and the vehicle operated just fine. As I approached the turn of entrance to the store I applied the brake slowed and entered the parking lot normally. As I slowly entered the parking space, the brake pedal sank to the floor and the engine acted as if I was pushing the gas pedal but this time I was sure I was not. The vehicle jumped over a bolder and hit the corner of the building. The vehicle is parked at my house and I have entered into a class action law suit against the Ford Motor Company for this exact problem. This problem is known to exist in Ford vehicles from 2002 thru 2010 models where Ford knowingly removed a safety device to prevent this from happening.

I'm fearing I bought someone else's problem. Just picked up the truck today. I was coming to slow stop, the brake pedal got soft and the engine rpms increased thus making it more difficult to stop. Finally came to a stop but the rpms did not go back to idle until I removed my foot from the brake pedal. Drove the truck several times times, had my mechanic check it out, no issues until tonight. Until it is fixed, I have no confidence in the vehicle
