The contact owns a 2010 Ford F-150. While driving 25 mph, the vehicle's rear axle seized and the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact also mentioned that the vehicle hesitated when the accelerator pedal was depressed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the spider gear was replaced; however, the failure recurred multiple times. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was approximately 70,821.
Driving on highway (clear roads)100 km/hr and all of a sudden a bang and lost power. Almost killed. Towed to dealer..($100).rear differential blew up, broke driveshaft and transfer case split in half. How is this not on the recall, as this is a serious safety issue and obviously a defect. Paid $5751.73 to fix. Female driver, only paved road driving, how does this happen"?"
