My vehicle was serviced for recall 19S07 regarding unexpected downshifting in to first gear while driving. After my vehicle was serviced, my truck began downshifting in to first gear while driving. A new recall 19S19 was issued for improper/insufficient repair of original recall 19S07, however my vehicle's VIN is not yet showing up under this new recall, but my vehicle is still downshifting in to first gear while driving

The contact owns a 2012 Ford F-150. While driving approximately 45 mph, the vehicle downshifted into first gear on its own. The contact had to pull the vehicle over to the side of the road. The vehicle was turned off and restarted, but the same failure occurred. The vehicle was towed to bishop Ford (1440 us-6, bishop, ca 93514) where it was diagnosed that the lead frame of the transmission failed and needed replacement. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 71,392.

Times when I'm driving I used get jerks when shifting gears, I took it to the Ford service center they told me that there was recall to adjust the software update. This has been happening since 2012 few months after I had purchased the vehicle. I gave it to the Ford service center to update the software. Few days after I felt it again but didn't felt it again some time. After a month wiles driving from 4th to 6th gear shift, I got a big jerk from 4th to 6th gear shift as if I thought the transmission might lock in the middle of the road while I was driving. Right after that I took it back at the Ford service center and they schedule an appointment for me on Monday june17th 2019. I'm writing this because I asked few people I know who owned F150 and they told me the same thing. This could have severe accident wile driving in the middle of the road.

Complaint involves recall 19S07/NHTSA 19V-075. I have had my vehicle in to the Ford dealer for service when 1st purchasing and upon receipt of this recall notice. This problem has not been remedied in my vehicle and poses a safety concern. My vehicle still suddenly downshifts or bucks. Feels like I am being rear ended. This has happened on multiple occasions, usually at low speeds(05-15mph). Transmission does not shift at normal RPM's since recall servicing.

Jerks at low speeds when shifting if not on the gas. Really bad clunk, made our truck hit a pole. Keeps doing it and feels like transmission wants to drop out. Seems like 1st and second gears.

Tsb 15-0131 timing chain stretches and makes a loud rattle upon starting and eventually leads to loss of power and engine damage. The known cause of this is all the phasers, the intake and exhaust phasers. This is my main concern. Everyone I know who owns this vehicle has this problem. The other complaint is that I get 14 mpg.

I had the latest programming recall performed on my 2012 Ford F150. Since having this performed my truck has gotten worse, when it rains it has down shifted multiple times. It has down shifted from 6th to 2 or 3 when going down a short incline, on level ground or going up a incline at speeds of 45 to 60 mph. The recall made my truck worse also I received a letter today extending the warranty on the output shaft speed sensor to 10 years. If the warranty of a part has been extended to 10 years because of sensor failure problem the sensor may needs to have a recall on it. We have had a rainy year so far, I'm afraid that the problem is going to cause me to have an accident. I'm a senior and dealt with dealerships for many years, I've had automobiles sit in dealerships and never get touched other than they drive around the shop and then state problem could not be duplicated on the paperwork when I pick it up if not for that I would be back to the dealership for a do over. Thank you

The truck often times will not shift out of 1st gear. The RPM will rise and the truck will accelerate quickly then slow back down. When it gets out of 1st gear it will often go back to 1st gear randomly. Wrench and check engine lights are frequent. Limp mode engages often and the dash will become inactive. Fuel economy screen will clear out and all information will be displayed as dash lines. I took the truck to Ford to have them look at it under the 16N02 recall and they would not cover it. The coverage only extends to 150,000 miles, but my truck has 163,000. The coverage only covers it if the truck is displaying symptoms and mine did not display anything until this last week.

I have brought my truck in previous times when it was under warranty, I described the same issue every time about a sudden downshift. I have this documented in service sheets I have obtained from them. They said they couldn't replicate the issue or stated it was a reprogramming issue. Over time the downshift issue has damaged the transmission and finally led to it completely failing. I was scheduled to have the recall service on Tuesday 4-23-2019, on 4-18-19 I was driving on hwy 62 at 35mph the truck did the sudden downshift nearly causing me to be rearended, after the downshift my truck lost all power and it had to be pushed into a parking lot. Then I had it towed to the heritage Ford dealership. The issue which is finally been addressed as a recall has led to the transmission failure. I have been quoted $4500 for the transmission replacement. I would appreciate any help. Thank you, information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

I have taken my truck in to the dealership for 2 years now on multiple occasions with a loud screeching noise coming from the transmission. The dealership replaced many parts outside of the transmission per the recommendation of the warranty company. The truck is now not in safe driving conditions. It is now dropping down in first gear at 65 mph. I see where there was a recall on 2011-2013 select vehicles with the same problem. The shifting down to first happens all the time now and has put me in a difficult situation on the highway with nearly crashing. When it downshifts at speeds between 45-65 it will not continue to drive safely, it will only go at low speed in a jerking motion. The service director at capital Ford in charlotte, nc dealership where I bought it from said that they have made many attempts to fix it but have not yet pin pointed the problem. The truck is now out of warranty and is stating that I will have to pay for a new transmission. Please advise.

The contact owns a 2012 Ford F-150. The contact took the vehicle to wynn odom Ford (4743 Washington St, la grange, nc 28551, (888) 452-6761) to be repaired per NHTSA campaign number: 19V075000 (power train). The service manager informed the contact that there were more advanced failures than the recall repair and advised him to call the manufacturer to get further authorization to repair the vehicle. When the contact called the manufacturer on March 25, 2019, he was informed that the recall repair had been completed and they could not assist. The contact was promised to speak with a service manager who said that the recall only authorized the reprogramming and further authorization and a case number were needed to get the repairs completely done. When the vehicle accelerated to shift into a higher gear, it shifted into neutral instead and slowed down to a lower speed. The contact was not assisted or assigned a case number. The vehicle was repaired. The contact was denied being able to speak to a supervisor. The failure mileage was 99,500.. consumer received second recall was issued. Consumer took the vehicle to recall serviced. Vehicle still not shifting properly, in fact it seems to be worse. Serviced 5-28-19.

I bought it with @ 10,000 miles on the odometer. I have had nothing but [xxx] with it from day one. First off I put two new front rotors and brake pads all the way around and both idler pulleys were squealing so I replaced them. Then at @ 19,000 miles I had to replace both cvj half shafts. Now at 45,000 miles they are both shot again the cvj half shafts are. On the first of January this year I was driving down the road and the vehicle was running good suddenly it began to cut out and the power fell off on its face. I purchased an obd11 code reader to try and diagnose the problem. It tells me that random misfire detected and that cylinders 5 6 7 8 are misfiring. Let me just say that 4 months later after going thru everything from the plugs wires injectors and replacing the fuel pump module assembly it is still not running and I'm at my end of trying to get the peice of $*** running. There is no way in [xxx] at 45,000 miles on the vehicle that I should be having all the [xxx] with the vehicle. I live in New Mexico and we do have a lemon law here. I am beyond the shadow of a doubt sure that this truck is a [xxx] lemon. For over 2 years now an issue with the driver tran module has been causing my truck to go from any gear into first, locking tires up and causing issues while driving at any speed. ** safety recall was made on driver tran module **. however, my truck is now in worse condition without a fix to the issue, but my truck is now shutting the entire computer module down and I have further transmission issues.
