The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving approximately 40 mph, the transmission malfunctioned and erroneously down shifted causing the engine RPM-€™s to rev very high while the vehicle decelerated. During the failure, the hill descent and check engine light warning lights were illuminated. Additionally, there were several unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the engine was faulty. The contact indicated that the vehicle was included in the NHTSA campaign number: 19V075000 (Power Train) and the vehicle had experienced the same failure listed in the recall. The manufacturer was not yet notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 136,000.

Horrible timing chain rattle upon cold start up. 73K Miles and Ford is very aware of this issue on the 3.5 liter ecoboost engines and will not address but they have changed the designs in the newer year models. Have videos to prove issue and dealer would not help even with extended warranty

While driving the power to my speedometer would go out. Also the truck would increase in RPM's. the last time it happened the wheels locked up on me. In most cases the problem would be fixed once I turned the car off and re started it.

The vehicle has two "types" of problem that may be related. In some cases, the truck drops down into 1st gear regardless of the speed. This has happened three times since I picked up the truck following the attempted recall repair, but none of these incidences of dropping into 1st gear caused error codes to pop up. In another "type" of incident, the speedometer drops to zero even while in motion, and the vehicle stays in 3rd gear no matter the speed (including when not in motion, even after shifting into park and back to drive, the vehicle automatically jumps to 3rd gear before I even start to move). During this second type of incident, the airbag light came on, as did the wrench/check engine light. This second type of incident triggered many error codes: U0401:68-48 B00A0:68-08 U0401:00-08 P0722:00-68 U0401:86-08 U0401:00-08 U0401:68-08 B1083:07-08 U0423:00-28

The vehicle drops into 1st gear for no reason, including when at high speed. This causes the rear wheels to skid and the vehicle to loose control. I have taken the vehicle to two Ford dealerships, and they have done the software update under recall 19S07, but the vehicle continues to have this problem. Both dealerships tell me they believe the lead frame needs to be replaced to fix the sudden downshifting, but Ford corporation refused to pay the cost of this repair because Ford corporation say the lead frame is not covered by the 19S07 recall unless there are "error codes" (which there are not, even though the truck has downshifted three times at speeds of about 35 mph since they "fixed" the software).

I bought this truck used. On 2 occasions it completely shift off with no warning. I googled and read that if the antifreeze runs low it will completely shut down until antifreeze is brought back to level. Recently I have used the vehicle more. I check the reservoir at least once a month fir this particular level. Everytime I have to add antifreeze. No evidence whatsoever of any leakage. Last month I did not check due to having a shoulder surgery so the truck sat unfriendly fir approximately 6 weeks. I used the truck to go to my local walmart store approximately a 9 mile trip one way. I noticed going to store the cooling fan cut on and stayed on. I looked at gauges and they were ok. After picking up groceries I cranked the truck. I pulled out of parking lot drove about a mile and noticed my check engine light came on. I started watching the gauges. The temperature gauge was slowly climbing to the hot range. I turned in the defroster and heater to pull heat off the engine constantly watching so I could make it back home. I live in a rural community and did not want to break down. I slowed my speed to 20-30 mph which did help keep gauge in safe zone. When I arrived home my husband checked the reservoir which was completely empty. He added 1-1/2 gallons of coolant. We let sit and then cranked the truck it is now back to running in the normal range. I posted what happened on my facebook page. I have discovered this is a very common problem with the 2013 F-150 and in my opinion very dangerous since there is absolutely no warning that fluid level has mysteriously dropped and evaporated and the truck shuts down and will not start until coolant is refilled. I haven't been stranded on the side of the road... yet... but this is certainly something that should be investigated.

Engine knocking on startup. The knock is more easily heard from the passenger side of the vehicle. The knocking is the most noticeable for the first 30 seconds of startup. This occurs every day. The amount of knocking follows an increase in engine RPM. One occasion I was driving 65 on the freeway, the engine compartment started violently shaking. The car lost acceleration and flashed the check engine light. This was the start of the engine knock.09

Pulling camper onto interstate, accelerated to merge. Truck shook, engine light came on and truck barely made it safely to the next exit. Pepboys replaced #2 coil. Made it the rest of the trip. Unable to tow camper or accelerate normally, as truck shudders and slows significantly in residential and interstate speeds. Ecoboost seems to be an issue with this particular model truck and engine, so I have to take it to Ford. I've already had to replace the transmission around 66,000..

Driving @ 35 mph and transmission down shift to 1 on the gauge. Truck slowed to almost a complete stop. Pull over and stopped. Shift to 'park', waited a few seconds, shift back to 'drive' and made it home. Occurrence was similar to the problems experienced with previous transmission recall. Presently, no similar occurrence from 1/31 to present.

Recently had my truck go throught a inspection check at a professional automotive shop and it was diagnosed with right and left exhaust manifold leaks. This issue is causing exhaust manifold gases to leak into my cabin and power loss while engine is running. Reason for leaks are due to exhaust manifold bolts breaking and warped exhaust manifold.

When driving the engine began to shudder and lost power. The vehicles engine blew and subsequently lost power and I had to get to the side of the ride road. There are thousands of reports online of people having their eco-boost engines blow due to a moisture issue in Ford design. Ford issued a tsb not a recall for the problem and have last many motorist including my self at danger as the engines can go without warning. Ford has denied my claim I made through them as well as many others passing them off as lack of maintenance and out of warranty. However, my truck has been serviced and well taken care off. Research shows that people have had this issue happen at various millage conditions while some have not experienced the issue at all. Ford has failed to provide insight into why this happens and a guarantee it can be prevented.

Electronics in the throttle body cause a computer fault while driving, which results in the engine (3.5 L twin turbo V-6) instantly going into limp mode, where the engine produces no power. This sudden loss of power is extremely dangerous. It happens with no warning. It can happen while attempting to accelerate through an intersection with oncoming traffic. It can happen at freeway speeds where the sudden deceleration can cause a collision, and where there is no place to pull over safely. This fault is very common in Ford F-150's and Ford automobiles. It has been a problem ignored by Ford and the NHTSA for years! it should be the object of a recall! I replaced the throttle body on my F-150 at 75,000 miles. Now, 25,000 miles later it needs to be replaced again! this is ridiculous, as well as expensive! please, make Ford stand behind their dangerously flawed product!

My vehicle recently died on the incline of a bridge with no shoulder putting me in a very dangerous position. It turns out that fuse 27 in my vehicles fuse box melted, not blown, but physically melted disabling the fuel pump. Tsb 15-0137 addresses this issue bit I believe iy should be elevated to a recall.
