I was driving on a cold morning and turned on the rear defrost on back window. The window exploded and shattered. Nothing hit the window only the activation of the defrost control. The issue is that I thought someone shot at me. Could have caused an accident and I'm glad my kids weren't in the back. While driving the truck will shift gears and get stuck in gears, particularly first gear. When stuck RMP's rev high and cause the truck to lurch forward even when foot is on the brake. Speedometer goes to 0 even while driving. Truck can switch to manual gear, but will only allow to go to 3rd gear and no higher. Putting truck in park and shutting it off will sometimes reset and allow to get back on the road. Other times it will stay stuck in first gear. I believe this is an issue with the lead frame. Our safety was put at risk as we tried to take off from a stop light and the truck would not shift out first. The lurching almost made me hit the person in front of me and the person behind me almost hit me as the truck was lurching forward. Any higher speed would have surely caused an accident. Truck has been take to a Ford dealership service center. There is a CSP from Ford on the lead frame of the truck with our VIN number but because no code has been recorded, Ford will not fix the issue under the CSP. We have not had any warning lamps or messages before, during, or after the issue occurs. Ford needs to acknowledge that the problem with the lead frame does not always produce a an error code. They need to replace all the lead frames in the affected vehicles if it demonstrates these issues immediately to keep drivers safe. Error code should not be the only determining factor of fixing this issue as it is obvious that they don't occur in every case and driver are in serious danger.

I drove my truck home that afternoon and parked with no problems or alarms got up next morning to leave had hill decent default alarm when I cranked the truck and obviously that affected the electric power steering and I could not turn the steering wheel. First thought that came to mind what if this had happened and I lost steering control while driving home yesterday. As I checked into the problem I learned of the electric control power assist steering also learned that there had been many other incidents with steering failures some with accidents. Also learned that I cannot find any recalls related to this problem which is a very dangerous problem. After getting some advice I checked out the wiring harness underneath the fuse box which is located under the hood. While shining a light up into the fuse box I immediately saw burned wires. Then called my Ford dealer in Easley, South Carolina who did not return my call even though I told them I was without a vehicle and had a very serious electrical problem with my truck. I took pictures of wires and would like for you to investigate this. Very dangerous situation!!!!!

Timing chain has no tension and requiring immediate repair of timing chain and phasers. Check engine light illuminated with codes P0012 & P054C. It is evident this is an acknowledged issue with Ford due to the number of TSBs issued for this motor. Diagnosed at an independent repair shop and confirmed at local Ford dealership and is available currently at the Ford dealership for inspection upon request. Safety risk of loss of power or complete engine failure while operating. Occasional cold start noises occurred for about a year prior to the check engine light on 1/13/2022 - Check engine light appeared, and was taken to a repair shop the next day.

While driving my work truck down the road at highway speeds, the truck suddenly jolted, redlined, and then the little wrench, service light, came on. The lights for what number gear the truck is currently in went out, the the lights for PARK NEUTRAL DRIVE MANUAL 2 1 went out, and the truck was stuck in a gear, maybe 5th gear. When the truck redlined without notice it caused the vehicle to cross the double yellow line. After I stopped and shut the truck off it wouldn't restart. I had to have the truck towed. The pickup is still currently at the garage.

The truck seems to downshift on its own randomly. Thwre are times where i turn the trucm off and turn it back on then its back to normal. Other times it takes about 10 mins to work normaly again. Also the truck won't let me accelerate at times. It just sounds like I'm reving the engine.

I was first driving about 50MPH in 6th gear when my truck downshifted to 1 without warning. Luckily no one was behind me and I was able to get into the right lane. I tuned my vehicle off and back on and my truck shifted just fine. To say I was and scared is an understatement luckily I have had plenty of training just in case, I-€™m sure many have not. I got a diagnostic test on it and there were no errors. About a week later I was driving 80 down the freeway when my truck went from 6 gear to idol. Luckily I was able to steer off the highway to get away from traffic. Again, I turned off and back on my truck. No lights or indications, but now I have an appointment to get another complete diagnostic on it. Just want to make sure everyone is aware that there is an issue. I have around 180,000 miles on the vehicle. I don-€™t have any files to upload at this time because my truck goes in next week.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the check engine warning light would intermittently illuminate on the instrument panel. The contact had taken the vehicle to two dealers who both informed him that they could not service the vehicle unless the check engine warning light was illuminated while in their possession. The contact then took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle with a defective output shaft speed sensor. The mechanic linked the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V433000 (Power Train) and referred him back to the dealer. The dealer acknowledged that the defect was covered under warranty not recall; but, the vehicle could not be serviced until the check engine warning light was illuminated. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated that upon the cold start of the vehicle, an abnormal rattling sound would emit from the vehicle without warning. The contact called Lake Elsinore Ford (31500 Auto Center Dr, Lake Elsinore, CA 92530) and Hemborg Ford (1900 Hamner Ave, Norco, CA 92860) and was informed that there were no recalls associated with the VIN. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure and referred him to NHTSA for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 125,000.

During the failure the -€œservice transmission" message was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was unable to duplicate the failure. There was no service codes present. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 34,000.

Every day the transmission jumps to 1st gear and stays there. We have to pull over and put it in park or neutral then try to drive again. Most of the times it stays in 1st gear for 5 or 6 times of pulling over before it will return to normal. This happens regardless of speed at time it happens. It displays the 'wrench' on the screen, air bag light comes on and speedometer stops working. We are deathly afraid of even getting on a highway. We have read the same problem on the internet happening to hundreds of people, yet there is no recall notice yet. Why are there no recalls if we are all having the EXACT same thing. Some people reported their lead frame harness was replaced and fixed the problem and some reprogrammed the control module.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while his daughter was driving at highway speed, her USB port had initially failed to operate as needed and that soon after, the display screen had drawn completely blank. The contact's daughter had pulled over and restarted the vehicle multiple times but the failure persisted. As she proceeded to drive the vehicle at 40 MPH, the vehicle independently downshifted as the vehicle stalled without warning. Due to the failure, the contact hit another vehicle from behind. The air bags did not deploy upon impact. No medical attention was given at the scene; however, his daughter did suffer minor bruising. The whereabouts of the other driver was unknown. A police report was filed. Due to the failure, the vehicle was towed to a dealer where they have yet to inspect or diagnose the failure. The contact stated that his vehicle was previously placed under NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V433000 (POWER TRAIN) which he linked to his failure. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle remained in the possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 148,000.

This truck was driven daily and has been owned since new. No aftermarket accessories, all stock. The truck was parked in my warehouse over the weekend. When I returned on Monday morning I found the dashboard burned and melted, airbag deployed, and headliner scorched. I believe the airbag extinguished the fire and kept it from spreading outside the truck and possibly destroying my business. The truck has not been inspected by anyone other than mechanics working on quotes to repair it. The truck is still at my business and available for your inspection. There were no warnings of any kind.

My truck dangerously downshifts!!! This truck was brought in for the recall 19VO75000 to OTIS FORD in Quogue. The next day the truck downshifted dangerously again. I called Otis Ford and they said I would have to pay for a new transmission, $3,000. I went to T-Jays Transmissions in Riverhead, NY and they had my truck for 1 1/2 weeks and said there was nothing wrong with it. Otis refuses to perform the recall work and this truck is DANGEROUS. I cannot sell this truck and will not trade in for another Ford, what do I do" [XXX] or [XXX] Can the recall be performed a second time?
