Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while attempting to register the vehicle, it was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 109,000 and at the time of registration, it was discovered that the mileage was 276,000. The contact later confirmed the discrepancy with a Carfax report that listed the mileage at 276,000.
Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2014 Ford F150. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the control panel failed to function as intended. The contact is unable to turn off the heater. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, and it was diagnosed that the instrument cluster had failed. The vehicle was not repaired. While the vehicle was diagnosed, it was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a dealer sale. At the time of the purchase, the vehicles mileage was 130,594 and at the time of the diagnostic test, it was discovered that the mileage was 212,961. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 132,000.
