Rear slider window is the issue. After starting my truck, while sitting inside I turned on the rear defrost. Within minutes while sitting stationary the driver side rear window pane shattered. Vehicle is under warranty but Ford will not cover. This impedes my view of the road and can be very dangerous as it could cause a driver to startle and have an accident.
This morning, I got in my truck and started it. As I was pulling out of my parking space, less then 1 minute with the engine running, I heard a huge pop in my backseat. I look back, the drivers side rear window just shattered. I got out and immediately took pictures, see below, and checked for any impacts and there were none. My window literally shattered on its own. I am taking it to Ford this afternoon after work.
Used the auto start from inside my house. Truck was running for about 4 minutes, when I got in. While still stationary, within a minute I heard a loud pop. Got out and looked around, and noticed the rear driver side glass was shattered. This was at 5:30 am it was 53 degrees F and wet from previous rain
Pulled the truck out of the garage to warm up. It was about 35 degrees Fahrenheit. And when I got out into the cold air, the rear cab window shattered. There was no impact from anything, just simply the change in temperature was enough to shatter the glass.

4 year old truck passenger door and rear driver door locks do not work. You can pull the driver side knob up after you roll the window down which is ludacris in my book I have to small children and if we were happen to get in an accident I would hate to have to bust the window out if it was serious. I could understand if this vehicle was 10 years old and they stopped workin but this is not the case 4 years old Ford should replace what ever is wrong...... I have read other complaints about this model year and other Ford F150 door issues something needs to be done.... thanks for your time.
No recall, but have had trouble with the transmission from day one, it jerks does not change gears the way they should, supposedly fix they installed a new transmission pump and still the same, say they cannot duplicate the problem. When on the highway have to slow down and then when you try to accelerate it jerks try to pick up speed
Throttle body went out after 40,000 miles. Driving down the road wrench icon pops up and a few seconds later the truck stalls and engine cuts out. Take it to Ford and that part is not covered under my extended warranty.. big surprise. Talk to customer service and there is nothing they will do either. So out 600 because Ford knowingly sells these vehicles when they know that thousands of people are having the exact same problem.
Rear drivers side panel wwindshield shattered. Turned on rear windshield defroster and after a minute or so heard a large bang. Was driving to work. Straight. Temp wa in the low twenties. Got snow and ice in lake county Illinois.
I started my truck this morning with the autostart it ran about 10 minutes I went out got in the truck and started on my way to work about five or six minutes into it my trip my driver side back window shattered. There was nothing that came into contact with the window it is a power sliding rear defrost window. I have absolutely no reason as to why this happened other then the rear defrost it was about 35 here this morning with a heavy frost on the ground
The contact owned a 2014 Ford F-150. While trading in the vehicle, the dealer (mark porter Ford, 1360 mayhew rd, jackson, oh 45640) informed the contact that the current vehicle was previously involved in a crash. While purchasing the vehicle in June of 2017, the contact asked the dealer if the vehicle had been in a crash and was informed that it had not. The VIN was unknown. The contact had not experienced a failure.
While driving down the interstate at 70 mph. Truck died completely, dash flashed "put into park" my 15 year old son was driving and has sence to put it in neutral instead. He manuvered to the shoulder from the inside lane. The truck interior lights come on, but nothing else. No power to anything when key is inserted. We are lucky we weren't killled. This happened last Saturday January, 27 2018. Road conditions were dry and it was around 50 degrees. 65,000 miles on truck. 2014 F150 eco- boost 3.5
The Ford sync 2 with gps that's tied into their 911 accident reporting system. Reports my vehicle location in lakes and on non existent roads when on major roads and freeways. I have video and still shots. As a ret firefighter, I can say that people could die if we can't find them in time. Ford knows this and that's a violation of the tread act. There are many class action suits going on now about this defective system which Ford has now completely abandoned. My truck was under Ford manufactures bumper to bumper warranty and the dealers can't fix them without these new sd cards. Ford sold this truck with the defective sd card and I have a letter from them saying that Ford wants to sell me a new sd card for $175 for a fix while claiming that it's from a third party yet they are still profiting for the replacements. Ford knows that thousands of Ford and Lincoln car and truck owners are having many problems with the sync 2 system and they are ignoring our complaints. My gps and the voice commands have become unstable.and the system is completely unusable. And that's an accident waiting to happen when families can't get help in the event of a serious crash. Ford used to supply these sd cards when doing master resets found on their web site but now they don't seem to care as according to one Ford dealer they stopped paying for this warranty work because this fix cost too much.
Warped exhaust manifold 2 times now within 6 months. 38K and 44K miles. Exhaust leaks into cab of truck when under load and makes a loud squeaking noise.
On January 9, 2018 I used my remote starter to start my truck, which I have set to turn on the front and rear defrosters along with the seat heaters. The truck ran roughly 15 minutes before leaving for work. Upon my arrival (approximately 20 minutes later), I parked, turned off the engine and got out. When I shut the door, I heard what sounded like ice falling off the truck. Knowing there wasn't any ice build up, I walked around to see the rear driver side window was shattered and pieces of glass were falling out.
I used the remote start to warm up the truck and when I got into the truck to go to work I saw that the rear drivers side window had shattered. I was completely baffled as to how this happened as there are no indications that anything struck the window. I went online and saw that this is a recurring problem with Ford F150's. I'm lucky it didn't shatter while I was driving or while my kids or grandkids were in the back seat. This vehicle only has 19,000 miles on it.
Exploding rear glass - 45F external temp, turned on the rear defroster, after about 5 minutes I heard what sounded like someone hit the truck with a baseball bat! I look around and notice the driverside portion of my 3 section power sliding rear windshield has shattered. After calling a repair place I learned that this is a very common issue with these trucks. There needs to be a recall from what I can tell, sounds like the source of the problem is faulty rear defrost elements getting too hot and causing the glass to shatter in cold weather. Truck ran for a few minutes in the driveway before leaving for work. Glass shattered about a mile into the drive while going around 40 mph on a city street (barker cypress in cypress, tx to be exact).
