On my 2019 Ford F-150 with ~68,000 miles The 10R80 10 speed transmission was jumping out of gear while going down of the road IN 10TH GEAR GOING 58-65MPH, having to feather the gas to get it back into gear. Also during take off from a stop light the gears would slam into gear and sometimes not even go into gear causing me to not only stop traffic but abruptly change the speed of my truck which has almost caused multiple accidents. Thankfully I did not have my family in my vehicle during some of these "Close Encounters." This is an active problem with Ford and already multiple attempts for lawsuits with little traction. Someone is going to DIE and it is going to be on FORD for not addressing this issue. I brought it to Lookout Ford in Morehead City, NC. and they said it was a bad VALVE BODY, and they are seeing them more frequently by the day with ALL FORDS WITH 10R80 transmission. Finally I went to get my valve body replaced at Torque Transmission in New Bern, N.C. and got sent to Lincoln Dealership to get the new part flashed and calibrated. Once Torque Transmission picked up my truck from Lincoln, the issue was not resolved and gave him issues driving all the way back to the shop. After Torque did more research and reading Ford Bulletins they had to replace my 10R80 Transmission with a brand new one from FORD Dealership. due to my truck being over 68,000 miles I am out of pocket, but there are cases of this happening to vehicles with 20K miles all the way to 60K miles. I have the FORD Connect app and can provide picture of the numerous notifications on when my truck had a failure of gear, loss of power at stop light and during driving. Notification is called, "POWERTRAIN MALFUNCTION/REDUCE POWER" I HAVE 14 NOTIFICATIONS TIME STAMPED OVER A PERIOD OF A MONTH. SOMEONE IS SERIOUSLY GOING TO GET INJURED OR KILLED IF NOT RESOLVED. PLEASE DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS, THIS IS VERY SERIOUS AND VERY IMPORTANT. JUST GOOGLE THE 10R80 TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS AND IT WILL PROVE

I bought this truck new on the dealers lot with an extended warranty that goes up to 75k miles. I brought the truck back to the dealer 3 separate occasions telling them of hard shifting, lagging in shifting and it missing shifts. All three times they -??reflashed-?? the tranny. Every time within about 10k miles or even less it would get worse and worse. Now that I am at 82k miles I took it back for the same issue and they have finally determined an issue with -??Slipped sleeve in CDF cylinder assembly-??. The service tech told me they have been having other F150 model trucks coming in with the same issue. I spoke with Ford telling them that the dealer has record of me bringing the truck to them several times before my warranty ran out for the same issue, but they refuse to help me.

The vehicle is a 10 speed automatic, while driving the vehicle when it gets to about 4th gear, the transmission slips. This vehicle was purchased brand new and has only 64,000 miles on it. The transmission slips and at lower speeds when the transmission slips and hesitates before it shifts to another gear, this is a safety issue as while the vehicle semi stalls causes the potential to be rear ended by a trailing vehicle. This vehicle manufacturer should stop selling these transmissions that have serious issues with them. Surely when you purchase a brand new vehicle you don-??t expect to have any problems with it at four years into ownership.

The separator plate between the transmission and engine has corroded to the point of interference with the torque converter. Safety problems associated with this could cause sudden loss of power or control while driving. The dealership says this has been a common repair when being inspected for the rattling sound coming under the vehicle which was the only indicator. Repairs are on hold at this time but will be replaced soon.

My 2019 F150 with the 10 speed transmission has several issues that I believe affect the safety and reliability of the vehicle: 1) The transmission shifts very roughly into 5th gear. The shifts are so rough that I suspect the other components of the drive train are being placed under unnecessary strain. 2) When moving forward at idle the truck will on occasion surge forward. This is a potential safety issue if it were to occur in traffic. 3) When moving forward at slow speeds the transmission periodically slips as if it was shifted into neutral. My local dealership "flashed" the software for the transmission but it did not correct the problem. I returned the truck to the dealership and they've now had it for 2 months with no resolution to the problem.

I purchased the vehicle, new, in May 2019. Currently have approximately 60,000 miles, the majority of which are highway miles. At about 50,000 miles, I noticed severe "jerking", "slippage", "stalling" of the transmission(10-speed automatic). The transmission slippage/jerking was especially noticeable when automatically shifting between gear ranges 3-6. The slippage was also noticeable between gear ranges 8-10. I also noticed that when not accelerating (and essentially coasting), the transmission disengaged entirely (in the 20-35 mph range, or gear 3-5) and when I tried to accelerate, there was a 2-3 second delay period before the transmission engaged. This really troubled me, as in some cases, I felt like I did not have control of the car (e.g. the ability to speed up immediately, to avoid a road hazard). I did ask the the last Ford dealer (when I had an oil change in mid-June 2023, at about 55,000 miles) if there were any default codes related to the transmission. They stated "no" even though I told them about the issue. They did not offer to investigate further. Since that time, I have driven another 4-5k miles, and have an oil change scheduled next week. I informed the dealer, this time, that I want a transmission expert to review the problem. I'll know more on August 31st.

Transmission will not shift correctly between gears. When you first shift from start up it will make a hard clunk noise. Truck will start jumping and once it-??s done the wrench light comes on. At one point I couldn-??t get it to go into reverse and I had to shut the truck off and restart it to get it into reverse.

Between 3 and 4 gear on a 10 speed transmission. Accelerating on a cold start or going up a hill after start. Has a lunging gear shift and hard shift then after and catching the correct gear. Have taken the truck in multiple times to ford. All they do is just reset the transmission. I-??ve had issues on the rentals they give me of the same vehicle. New issue is between 7-3 when braking hard from 60+. Vehicle lunges forward and can hear transmission grinding and having issues switching gears thereafter.

Transmission not shifting smoothly, it lurches into gear when accelerating or decelerating. There have been times where I-??ve almost had power failure. My safety was put at risk when trying to merge out onto the highway across traffic and my truck would not shift out of first gear and felt like it was about to stall out before finally kicking into 3rd gear-??and I could have been hit by oncoming vehicles. This has happened numerous times and now it occurs every time i am shifting out of first gear. I-??m taking the vehicle in to be inspected at automation Ford on July 18th 2023. The vehicle has not been inspected by police, or insurance. There have been 0 warning lights or check engine lights to date. Start date was approximately 04-2022 and it-??s gotten way worse and it is now 07-2023

In March of 2022, Ford launched a TSB campaign for its F150 model trucks spanning a few years. The TSB was for a Cam Phaser issue and the company offered an extended mileage warranty with a tiered coverage chart based on your current miles while experiencing the problem. The campaign ended January of 2023. I own a 2019 F-150 and my truck began having the issues under the TSB in April of 2023. When I brought the issue to the Ford dealership, I was then informed of the open TSB (TSB's are not made public, but rather opened up for mechanics use to easily diagnose an issue). I was told that due to my mileage as well as missing the 'expiration of the campaign' by just a few months, I would have to cover the cost of the repair. After battling with Ford, I was able to gain some assistance from the dealership towards the cost of the repair. My truck was dropped off to a Ford dealership on May 8th, 2023 and is still there awaiting parts for this KNOWN issue. There are roughly 40,000 parts for this issue that are on backorder. I was updated yesterday that the parts are still 2-3 weeks out from being available. Not having my vehicle for close to 3 months now and still being expected to pay $750 for a repair with an active TSB is absurd. At what point does this issue constitute a recall? I am writing and requesting that this issue be a known recall to the affected trucks. For a consumer to have to pay for a cost that is out of their control, and a known/acknowledged issue by the dealer/company, especially with a 40,000 part backorder-- there should be no reason myself, or anyone else should have to pay any cost to fix the problem. Please let me know what can or needs to be done further to try and have this TSB converted to a recall on these affected F-150s.

Beginning 3 months ago, intermittently during in-town traffic driving, the vehicle will shut off. It happened about once a month. Three weeks ago when it did this, it said Low Charging System, so I took it to the dealer where purchased it. The Alternator tested Low, so it was replaced. Two weeks later, it died at a stoplight again & at Idle, then the Dash Message said Disengage Auto-Shut Off and Restart Engine. I called the dealer where purchased it & they came and got it. They tested it for a couple days & also had several people drive it, and they said it did fine with the Auto-Shut Off Turned On. Well this afternoon I drove it local around my own town, and it's still runs rough. It idles rough and is acting like it wants to die again at stoplights. I only way to be comfortable driving it is with the Auto-Shut-Off Disabled. In traffice at a redlight that turns green, and if you're stalled out, it's going to cause a rear-end collision. Not to mention it's hard on the battery and alternator having to keep restarting at intermittent intervals in traffic. The dealer said they drove it around their lot area, however, it doesn't do it unless drive it for 45 minutes or an hour. When discussed this with 3 area Ford Dealers, they all said it's going to be hard to find. There's no Check Engine Light or any sort of Code that can be used. They also stated it's probably something small causing it. One specific dealer stated that something else is causing this issue, and until that is found and fixed, it's going to keep doing it. The dealer that's been handling this and purchased from, did a Factory Reset on the PCM.

2019 Ford F-150 crew cab with 047763.1 miles on it while returning from Vermont has started with sever and harsh shifting at various speed, this results in a loud CLUNK followed with a hard and swift gear change. This has happened at vaious speeds from 15 mph to 75-80 mph. It feels like the transmission is about to drop/explode which could cause an accident on an interstate roadway. Spoke with Larson Ford service advisor who is aware of the 10R80 transmission issues and they will check my truck on June 7th, 2023. There has not been any warning lights/check engine lights/messages as of yet
