On start, a loud "pop" was heard and the audio system went into full volume static and other sounds. Radio could not control it, on/off or volume, nothing would stop it. sound was deafening and lasted as long as the ignition was on. turned off ignition, yet it kept on regardelss of what I did with any interior controls. Sound was deafening and as I came to a stoplight, I could not hear the siren of an ambulance approaching from the left. I could not hear the siren due to the noise in the cabin! No way to stop the noise except after shutting down the ignition and leaving it alone for 15minutes........and it turned itself on again even after I had left the vehicle!

The audio system is malfunctioning - a loud audible cracking noise occurs when audio sources are selected or connected/disconnected from the vehicle's sound system. During the malfunction, the volume control knob was unresponsive, and there was no varying difference in sound when attempting to lower the volume. The sound was so loud that it caused my ears to ring and my body to involuntarily flinch from the shock of the sudden and sharp noise coming from the speakers. My ears continued to ring for several minutes following the incident. This could pose a safety risk to occupants as it may lead to long term hearing damage or loss. I have scheduled an appointment with my Ford service department to have the issue addressed one week from the initial occurrence. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure.

failure of wiring protection. I have pictures. Signal lights failed. The problem could have caused a fire in the vehicle or a major malfunction. Dealer made a repair at the dealership. Messages on the driver display indicated a problem. The dealer rep. advised me that the wiring harnesses are manufactured with soy products!!! The result of this is that rodents chewed up the wiring to the point of failure of the lighting systems.

Truck speakers randomly emit excessively LOUD pops and static. Took in truck for service and they -??couldn-??t replicate.-?? This was at a Ford dealer in Mew York. Gave truck back. It has done it everyday since and it-??s so loud it-??s almost like I-??m in a concert. It lasts 5-10 seconds. It causes disaffections when driving as well. First time it happened I thought something broke a window. I saw many complaints posted about this through NHTSA and found online via [XXX] that Ford issued a bulletin for this fix but my service department at the local dealership didn-??t bother to fix it. This has been an ongoing issue since I purchased the truck in late 2022. This was my first attempt to have it fixed. Upon pressing the start button the sound system put out an ear piercing pop and loud statis continued for 5 -10 minutes. Audio on/off and volume buttons were rendered ineffective, no response. Disconnected the negative on the battery with not effect. Static continued from all speakers. After 10 minutes tried to start the truckand system seemed to return to normal. Reported it to Ford Dealer said they haven't any idea what it is.

Started the vehicle and an extremely loud popping noise came through the speaker system, then a horribly loud and terrible staticky clicking sound continued for 15 minutes or so, even after turning off the vehicle, locking it, and walking away from it.

When turning on the radio, there was a very loud pop like a gunshot or firework going off in the cab followed by sustained white noise coming from the speaker system at full volume. The volume and radio buttons did not impact the volume of the sound requiring the driver to pull over, shut the vehicle off, and open the door in order to make the sound stop. The volume of the sound was loud enough that the driver was forced to release the steering wheel to plug their ears. Upon restart the vehicle produced the sound again.

My wife was driving my daughter to school. While driving on the road, at 20 miles per hour, car dashboard displayed "Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power" and "High-Voltage Battery Warning". Car immediately lost power. My wife quickly pulled the car to the road side. My wife noticed fluid started leaking underneath the car. The fluid leaked along side the battery tray platform. Photos and videos were taken to show the fluid leakage process. Called my car insurance company for road side assistance. The car was towed on a flatbed to the FORD dealership for repair. Dealership service department had trouble diagnosing the problem and finally reported the issue 1 week later. The service person said one of the battery module, No. 76, failed and caused the whole battery system / power train to shut down. I asked: "There are over one hundred modules in the battery platform. One failed and cause the whole car to shut down in the middle of driving?" Service person did not know the answer. Dealer contacted Ford to replacement of the battery module. Ford said the replacement module will take 2 to 6 weeks to replace. Once the the replacement module arrives, dealership will drop the battery platform to replace the module and diagnose for the fluid leakage problem. The replacement process will take 1 more week. Dealership estimate the repair time will take total of 4 to 8 weeks to repair. My wife and daughter were in the car when the car shut down in the middle of driving in the middle of the road. Luckily car had minimal power to pull to the road side and avoided rear incoming cars. It could have been a disaster for the passengers. I checked the Ford F150 Lightening Forum. https://www.f150lightningforum.com. It seems that other Lightening owners are experiencing similar problems. I don't know the total number of problems. I am hoping by reporting this issue, other people could avoid similar dangerous situation.

2022 Ford F-150 tremor owner with B&O Unleashed sound system. Yesterday 8/22/2023 when starting my truck I experienced a loud big boom followed by loud static and popping sounds which was varying in pinch and level for all speakers. I could not turn off the audio or turn down the audio. I turned off the truck and it continued to make the same noises for some time before stopping on its own. I had to drive for over 30 minutes with this going on in order to get home. I eventually got back into the truck later on and started the truck with the issue resolved and back to normal operations for now. I have also had multiple issues since the purchase of the truck in July 2022 of when attempting to roll up my automatic windows and they keep reopening on there own. Sometimes it takes two or three tries to keep the window up.

On June 26, 2023 I received a message from Ford Motor Company that they had detected a battery module "not performing as expected" in my 2022 F-150 Lightning BEV truck. A contact at the Ford Battery Electric Vehicle Team stated the defective battery module would be replaced under Ford Customer Service Program 23H01. The contact stated that a replacement battery module had been ordered, and an appointment was set up at the local dealership for 7/31/2023. As of 8/22/2023 no work has been done to repair my truck. There are numerous postings on the F-150 Lightning Forum involving powertrain failures and loss of power while driving, High Voltage Battery warnings, and notices from Ford of defective battery modules. Loss of power while driving is obviously a very serious safety issue. It appears the scope of battery issues with Ford F-150 Lightning BEV trucks is very significant.

Advancing forward in traffic to a stop sign on a downward slope in tow/haul mode. Stopped at the intersection and began to accelerate into a left hand turn. Initial acceleration was fine and then the rear tires locked up and squealed on the asphalt. Truck came to a stop and when I looked down the screen said the parking brake was on. I never activated the parking brake. Seemed to disengage on its own after a few seconds. Highly dangerous situation.

The following occurred in a 2022 Ford F150 Raptor with less than 500 miles. As soon as I put the car in drive and turned out of the parking lot, there was a huge boom that sounded like an explosion. I assumed that something had burst or all of my glass was shattered and the sound of loud crackling noises could be heard coming from the speakers. After the explosion-like sound, I was unable to hear for some time and I nearly went deaf. Regardless of whether I turned the audio on or off, the loud crackling noise would not go away. without delay The service manager afterwards contacted me and told me that the sound system needed to be reconfigured after I drove to the dealer to demonstrate the problem.

Listed date as the date I caught issue on camera, but this has happened multiple times before and since. Numerous issues w/ infotainment system on 2022 F150 Powerboost Platinum. Backup cameras will load normally when put into reverse, but "freeze" once the vehicle starts moving. Still displays last image, however it's not updating nor does any of the sensors work at this point. Vehicle still drives/shifts normally, but no alerts or warnings indicate problem. It's easy enough to realize (at some point) that the screen is frozen, however there are numerous safety hazards that this presents. One Example: Imagine backing out of a tight spot in a parking lot. Your camera loads normally and you start backing up, watching your camera/sensors. It freezes, in the 3-4 seconds it takes for you to realize that you're no longer watching a live feed, a child runs behind your vehicle, Not good. Again, the backup sensors do not work at this point. Additionally the screen will stay frozen in this manner for some time, restarting the vehicle does nothing. At some point the entire system will crash and both the dash and center screen go black though the vehicle continues to operate though you no longer have speedometer or other dashboard indications as they are all digital. In this incident I captured the frozen screen on video, and after restarting the vehicle multiple times, I began to drive home. Shortly after getting onto the freeway, both screens went blank and audio issues began, I had to pull off of the freeway, turn the truck off and wait about 10 minutes for it to boot back up and begin to work normally. Ford service could not find any problems or reproduce issue. It has happened maybe 5 or 6 times so far in the year I've owned the truck. I've attached a.gif of the problem captured on video (Ford service has seen and notated the problem as well). I have a better quality video available for your review. Gif shows frozen reverse screen, while pulling forward in drive.

Overview: Intermittent issue with audio system in vehicle making/playing EXTREMELY LOUD popping noise out of speakers randomly and with no warning. Sounds like someone is setting off explosions or a firearm inside the cabin, playing from all(?) or most of the speakers. Happens randomly and intermittently with no determinant cause. Might be driving, parked, etc.. sometimes it will be a month or so before it happens again, sometimes 2x a day. Cannot stress how loud it is when it does happen, hearing damage levels. Happened again today (7/31/23) while parked (truck running) with my 11mo son sleeping in the back (was just sitting in the parking lot waiting for him to wake up before heading into the store). He was absolutely terrified. Ford dealership service has looked into it before, but since we can't replicate the issue on command there doesn't seem to be much they can do. There are many reports online of other folks having the same issue. Safety: Aside from the loudness of the issue, this is a major safety hazard. The audio issue is so loud and unexpected that if it happened at the wrong time It could easily cause an accident. One doesn't expect to suddenly hear cannons going off when merging into traffic on the freeway, and it could result in erratic maneuvers as one makes a panic response to what sounds like gunfire. Problem has been unable to be replicated (in my case) at the dealer. Vehicle has been inspected/evaluated multiple times. No warning lamps/indicators/messages correspond to this, other than random and recurring issues with the infotainment system and other problems that seem ongoing.

Unintended acceleration / rolling may occur when vehicle is remote started through Fordpass mobile application. The 1 pedal-drive vehicle setting is NOT preserved when using remote start. Vehicle may roll down hill upon entry. Default driver profile has 1 pedal drive OFF while all device profiles linked to Fordpass and Phone-as-a-Key have 1 pedal drive ON. Fordpass mobile app remote start needs to preserve 1 pedal drive setting due to potential unintended acceleration when on flat surfaces or unintended reverse acceleration rolling down hills.
