The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the computer needed to be programmed. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. While driving approximately 50 MPH with the cruise control activated, the vehicle unintendedly accelerated to approximately 70 MPH. The brakes failed to respond while depressing the brake pedal. The failure was self-corrected. The vehicle was taken back to the local dealer who documented the failure but was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was contacted, and the contact was referred to another dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 10,600.
