I replaced the engine at my cost. Now this engine is doing the same thing. Don't want to run it for fear its going blow again and cost me again.

If you know a way for Ford to pay for it, I will be thankful.

F-250 V8

  • Manual transmission
  • 36,000 miles

I bought my Ford brand new, I kept up with all the oil changes, Took good care of it. I never beat on it and for the most part this truck has nothing but highway miles on it. In any case, we started hearing the engine making a rapping sound. Mechanic told us that the engine has a bent piston rod or something and that the motor was junk. At 36,000 miles this is unheard of. I am still waiting to hear from the dealer, but as they said I am a couple thousand miles out of warranty. I now have a 25,000 dollar vehicle that is worthless to me and I spent the money in 2005 so I would have no more lemons. But sure enough ford made an awesome motor that I must now deal with. Call it luck of the draw or what you will, But ford does not seem to fourth coming in resolving this problem.

F-250

  • Automatic transmission
  • 33,410 miles

My F-250 2005 truck blew a motor at 33.410 miles by hyper starting? A new motor was installed and it still starts the same way. Just waiting for the new motor with only 18.000 miles on it to blow also. I've read the reviews on the front end and my truck bounces down the road and thought it was the new $800.00 in tires I had put on. Nope not the problem. Don't know why the front end bounces at 70 mph. Anyone had this problem?
