While driving at approximately 45 mph when I heard a loud pop and something fly up and hit the undercarriage of my vehicle. I applied the brakes and the brake pedal went to the floor and I had no brakes whatsoever. This caused me to then roll uncontrollably through a red light barely missing an oncoming vehicle. I was then able to change lanes and roll to a stop in a nearby parking lot. When I came to a slow enough speed I shifted the vehicle to neutral and then park to come to a complete stop. Upon inspecting the vehicle, I noticed the passenger from wheel had fluid pouring out inside the brake and inner wheel areas. I returned to vehicle and only then did any warning lights come on include the check brake and hill control warnings. Never before had any warnings been given. After calling the local Ford dealer who told me there was nothing that the factory would do since my vehicle was no longer under warranty. I then had the vehicle towed to a repair shop who informed me that the calipers/piston had failed. The front calipers, rotors, pads must all be replaced as the calipers themselves failed, the pistons ground deep gouges into the rotor damaging it and the pads were destroyed as well.Ford is aware of this problem and issued a service bulletin to replace front and rear calipers on all 2013 and 2014 F250/350 vehicles with 6.7L diesel. NHTSA# 10054344. Due to this being a known safety issue by the manufacturer I am asking for a recall on all of these vehicles to include mine and reimbursement for these expenses. No vehicle that tow 12K-15K pounds should experience immediate catastrophic brake failure, without warning on this new of a vehicle.
