We were driving down interstate 70 near glenwood springs, Colorado on December 23, 2016. Driving 75 mph (the speed limit) with no cars nearby. It was a straight stretch of interstate. Driving conditions were clear, no snow or ice on the road. Outside temperature was 40 degrees F and sunny. Interior temperature was set on 69 degrees F. out of nowhere, the sunroof spontaneously shattered, blowing a huge hole through it. It sounded like a bullet had gone off. There were no rocks nor shell casings found in the vehicle. Fortunately, we had the sunroof visor closed and did not get injured by glass. There was broken glass all over the interior of the headliner. We were very startled and the damage was approx $2217 to fix. Ford denied the warranty claim (vehicle only had 22K miles and was still under factory and extended warranties that we had purchased). Thankfully my husband was driving because I was panicked and probably would have had an accident.

The contact owns a 2016 Ford F-250. While driving 40 mph, the vehicle began to bounce up and down. At 70 mph, the vehicle shook violently. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 17,000. Update 01/05/2017
