problem #1

Nov 012012

Fiesta LX 4.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 400 miles

BOUGHT A BRAND NEW 2013 FORD FIESTA IN OCTOBER 2012. STARTED MAKING A GRINDING, RATTLING NOISE FROM THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE IN NOVEMBER WITH ONLY 400 MILES ON IT. TOOK BACK TO DEALER TWICE (IT'S THERE NOW). FIRST TIME THEY TELL ME THEY DID A "REPROGRAM" ON THE COMPUTER SYSTEM AND CAR IS RUNNING FINE AND THEY COULD NOT HEAR THE PROBLEM. TOOK CAR BACK AGAIN THIS WEEK (MARCH) AS NOISE IS GETTING PROGRESSIVELY WORSE.....AND THE DEALER CALLS ME AND TELLS ME THAT FORD HAS HAD ALOT OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS, BUT THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THE NOISE IS AND THEY ARE 'INVESTIGATING IT". REALLLLLY? THEY TOLD ME TO COME PICK UP MY CAR AND DRIVE IT AND AS SOON AS FORD FIGURES IT OUT, THEY WILL CALL ME TO COME BACK IN. UNBELIEVABLE. THIS IS A TRUE STORY. I AM PISSED. MAKING PAYMENTS ON A CAR THAT NO ONE CAN FIGURE OUT? I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ANY OTHER OWNER IS HAVING THIS SAME PROBLEM. I WANT FORD TO TAKE THIS PIECE OF JUNK OFF MY HANDS AND I'LL GO BUY A REAL CAR. THE CAR RUNS FINE, BUT THIS IS NOT A NORMAL NOISE....AND IT'S GETTING WORSE. FORD TOLD ME SINCE THE CAR IS RUNNING OK TO JUST DRIVE IT UNTIL THEY FIGURE IT OUT. I REGRET I EVER BOUGHT THE DAMN CAR AND WISH I HAD BOUGHT A FOREIGN MODEL INSTEAD.

Update from May 1, 2015: Read my latest post dated Oct 2014 (although I just updated it, it was really posted last week April 2015 under transmission, chugging)

Worst car ever made. I have owned cars for 40 (yes, 40) years and this thing was a nightmare. Traded mine in last week, got blue book on it (which is half of what I paid for it) But HAPPY to just have it gone. I never trusted this junk car to go anywhere....especially on a road trip.

Ford needs to reimburse all of us who have lived the nightmare of owning a 2013 Fiesta. Seriously, Ford, do the right thing and admit you screwed up big time and make it right? REIMBURSE THE CONSUMER. DON'T EXTEND THE WARRANTY.....JUST TAKE THE CARS BACK AND GIVE US BACK OUR HARD-EARNED MONEY. My advice? Folks, cut your losses, get rid of the car and get whatever you can for it. It's worth it, just to be able to sleep at night knowing you won't be late for work because your Fiesta won't work. Good Luck Everyone !!!!!
