The contact owns a 2017 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving approximately 10-20 mph, the vehicle started to decelerate independently. The contact checked and verified that the vehicle was in the proper gear. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to accelerate and stopped independently. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle however, the gear shifter failed to shift out of park. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the shifter link bushing needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not under recall. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.
I was driving and proceeded to park and I couldn't shift from drive to park. It happened twice since the 20th of March. I had to turn off car and shift again. The car shifted at that moment. It seems this issue is 'common' in the 2017 Ford Fusion automobiles. These cars should be recalled to solve this issue. Thank you for your assistance in advance. My 2017 Ford Fusion was going to dealer for its 75,000 service and to update the software which was included in the recall. I told them engine light had just come on.. they diagnosed it as coolant in the engine and it had ruined the engine $6200 to fix it I have repeatedly called Ford for assistance for the damage related to this recall and now they tell me they cannot help me out.. it is my problem this is a three year old car that I wish I had not had fixed as I was confident that Ford being the good old american company that it is would do the right thing and be truthful and stand up and help me out with a problem that is clearly theirs please help me out I cannot afford this and it's plain wrong and unfair that I as a law abiding citizen has to cover this mistake by Ford T

Car began losing power uphill, and even pushing the gas pedal to the floor did not help. High pressure fuel pump was replaced at a Ford dealership, but the problem continued, and got worse. Eventually had to be towed to another dealership, where they fixed the problem enough to get home, although hills remained an issue (cruise control was set to 70, and even the smallest hill would cause the car to slow to around 40-45 mph). Car currently is sitting in my driveway because I am afraid to drive it. It might stall out in traffic.
I have had my battery replaced a number of times my car loses power often has to be jump started. The cruise control activates itself speeding me up and slowing me down and the radio no longer works actually none of the controls on the steering wheel and or the radio work
On May 13, 2017 or there about my 2017 Ford Fusion from a stopped during take off accelerated very fast almost causing me to run into the rear of another vehicle. On May 15, 2017 I took my car in for service and told technician about it. He could not find a problem. Again on September 20, 2017 I took my car in specifically to have the acceleration problem checked out and again no problem was found. I was told to bring the vehicle in soon as it happened. On October 10, 2017 taking off from a stationary position I took off after light turned green and the car just took off accelerating in a curve causing me to loose control and I ran into a tree.
Car was accelerating on the highway at about 50 mph and out of no where car shifts very hard and all power is lost. Had to limp to the side of the highway and shut it off. This was very dangerous. After a restart it seemed to act fine until today when the same thing happened on a local road at about 20 mph.
