Flexplate cracked. Causing vehicle to make a loud noise when idle or driving in reverse. Cracked discovered by mechanic and Ford service department. No warning lights or other issues prior to crack.
Ford reached out in June 2023 with a recall stating to not charge the vehicle and provided a small check to "help with gas." It has now been 7 months with no resolution. I have had no issues in the past from charging my vehicle even though my standard battery did just need to get replaced.
the first time the incident happened I was driving home from work, i took and a turn and lost power, the car indicated a message that read " Auto StartStop Shift to P, then restart Engine. I tried starting my car a few times and it turned on. A week later I was driving on the highway and it happend. I pulled over and same thing. I took it to a Ford dealership and they couldn't replicate the problem.
Purchased the hybrid fusion to save on gas. Received a recall with no time as to when they will have a fix. The car is now only able to be used as a gas car because we Were advised you cannot charge the vehicle as it may go on fire. I now have to fill up every week as opposed to every 4-6 weeks. Gas is very high now and the car is not what I wanted without the hybrid mode. Car is lackluster in gas mode and my gas bill is not 5-6 times what I was paying and want to pay.
Ford installed 3g modems knowing the network would be shutdown. This causes most things on the infotainment center to stop working such as the vehicle GPS and most recently the Bluetooth command button. Updates have failed to resolve the issues. It is illegal for me to be distracted while driving, however, all of my distractions come from dealing with the infotainment and connectivity issues that were built into my vehicle.

It is a wide-spread issue and commonly known issue that when the car battery is replaced in Mercedes-Benz vehicles, the climate control stops working, as well as the blower. If the car is parked in directly sunlight and I start the car a "Front camera temporarily unavailable" message will appear. It happens more when the outside temperature is warmer.
Water is leaking into the trunk of our vehicle through the tail light assembly and soaking all the electrical wiring in the base of the trunk. The wheel well is becoming flooded with water. All the wiring going in and out of the trunk is soaking wet. If you Google this issue. Other Ford Fusion owners with older model vehicles and the same tail light assembly are having the exact same issue where water is coming into the trunk from the tail light assembly. This is clearly a design flaw and with water coming inside and covering the electrical system I want to believe this is major safety concern.
I can hear the coolant sloshing around and gurgling while the vehicle is in park with the heat on. When I turn the heat off, the sloshing and gurgling goes away. It appears that I do not have a coolant leak.
After pulling forward into a parking space, I stopped and shifted my car to reverse. When I touched the gas pedal again, the car went FORWARD and the light on the shifter starting flashing quickly. I stopped and was able to shift the car and it have it move as expected. I-€™ve been unable to reproduce this so far but wanted to report it in case others were having similar issues.
The contact owns a 2020 Ford Fusion. The contact state that the more they turn the vehicle's acceleration pedal that the vehicle would pull to the right. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who was able to duplicate the issue however were not able to find the cause of the failure. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 23,000.
The contact rented a 2020 Ford Fusion from hertz car rental. The contact stated while driving 25 mph on a incline hill, a strange sound occurred and the vehicle started to slow down. The contact depressed the acceleration pedal, however the vehicle started to roll backwards down the hill causing the vehicle to crash into two other vehicles. No warning lights was illuminated. The air bags failed to deploy. The vehicle was damaged on the driver side door and the back light was dented. The contact sustained whiplash and lower back pain; no injuries sustained by other vehicle drivers. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the a parking lot and then towed to hertz car rental lot(625 South columbus ave, mount vernon NY, 10550 914-665-1780). The contact stated the rental company was apprising the vehicle and had not received any updates. The failure mileage was 23,600. The VIN was not available.
