The contact owns a 2000 Ford Mustang. While the vehicle is parked on a hill and the emergency brake is on the vehicle will continue to roll down a hill. The vehicle was purchased in November 2003. The repair shop said that it was something wrong with the emergency brake. The emergency brake, but this vehicle was not included in the recall due to VIN, according to the dealership and the manufacturer. In most cases after the vehicle had been parked for a while with the emergency brake on the vehicle would continue to roll. Also, the contact has been having problems with front driver and passenger seat belts. The passenger side seat belt was worse. The seat belts will not retract, causing the seat belts to get caught in the door. This problem existed since the contact purchased the vehicle.
Vehicle was in park, engine turned off on a upgrade with emergency brake engaged, . ten minutes later, vehicle had released its emergency brake, and rolled into another vehicle.
Consumer received a recall 00V349000 in mail. She took vehicle to dealership that informed her that vehicle was not included in recall. Afterwards, she called manufacturer who assured her that based on her VIN, vehicle was included in recall. Please provide any additional information/attachments.

Car since new has had a multitude of failures to include the total failure of the parking brake, total evacuation of the master brake cylinder of fluid, brake go to the floor, clutch assembly vibrates to the point it is audable in the car and can be felt in the controls, rear end claunks, the body is miss alligned, engine misses at idle, these are all problems since new, Ford has just looked at the car for the fifth time and has failed to respond to major safety items.
After parking vehicle consumer was told that it had rolled into another vehicle.parking brake was engaged. Consumer did receive recall notice 00V349000 for this problem, but accident happened before appointment.

Car parked in garage, in gear with emergency brake engaged. While unattended, car rolled down 200 foot steeply sloped driveway, missing other parked car, knocking down tree and rolling into drainage ditch this side and then the other side of street. No one struck, injured or killed, but daughter and baby coming home just missed being hit. Extensive body damage requiring minimum of 3 separate trips to auto body shop. Car is still not properly aligned and convertible roof needs more work. Concerned about recently announced Mustang recall for parking brake failures and safety of continuing to drive and park this car.
Emergency brake lever stayed up, and the brakes were not engaged. Also, multi- function switch was replaced, and windshield wipers fluid will constantly come out onto the windshield.
While vehicle was on a slide incline emergency parking brake engaged, and vehicle started rolling out of driveway. Owner was able to stop vehicle from rolling, but not before it hit another parked vehicle. This was the third time this has happened since vehicle was purchased in December of 1999. Dealer was not able to find any problem with this vehicle. Ignition was not running when this happened.
Vehicle rolled from driveway into a pole. Vehicle was parked out of gear with emergency brake engaged. Dealer notified. Ford denies any failure or malfunction.
