Takata recall. I am unable to understand why Ford is allowed to take this much time to replace the defective and unsafe air bag in my 2008 Ford Mustang. They are still being allowed to sell new vehicles and to sell replacement air bags for vehicles involve in accidents. Where is the consumer protection in this? I think the concern for the consumer in this whole fiasco has been a joke'
"takata recall ", safety recall 15S21 was completed on 08/09/16, driver side airbag, at the time I was advised that the passenger side airbag was not yet available and that I would be notified when it is available, to date I have not been so advised. Presently safety recall 16S26 is still active and I have received notice that takata has filed chapter 11 bankruptcy!
Takata recall. It has been over a year and a half since the drivers side airbag was replaced and I was told the passengers side would be available a month later. I have called many times and been told "not yet" when asked if the replacement was in. Now I get a post card saying takata are filing bankruptcy. I am very concerned about my safety and that of passengers in my car. I feel it is unsafe.
Takata recall - it is completely unacceptable that shrapnel could kill me instead of the accident via air bag deployment and no parts are available over two years later?? this needs immediate action for replacement!

Takata recall was identified to be a defective airbag in my vehicle, 2008 Ford Mustang. The vehicle was brought in to the dealership to address the issue in 2016. Almost 1 and half year later this issue has stillborn been fixed. Though, as stated by the company themselves, this is a life and death situation created by this corporation.
Takata recall - it's been over a year since I had the driver side airbag replaced. I received notice on the passenger airbag in July 2016 that said the parts were not yet available. Haven't heard anything from them since.
Takata recall - over a year ago, in July 2016 I received a letter from Ford customer service that the passenger frontal airbag inflator may result in metal fragments striking vehicle occupants causing serious injury or death. I never received a follow up letter, but recently got a notice on October 26, 2017 that tk holdings and company affiliates are filing chapter 11. I called the palm bay, Florida Ford dealer, where I bought the car, inquiring as when the parts would be available. The service department did not know and said I had as much knowledge about the recall as they did. I checked the www.airbagrecall.com web site listed on the takata notice and found out that the repair was incomplete on my car because the "remedy not yet available". it has been over 15 month and no resolution for this safety recall. Doesn't Ford have a duty to find an alternative supplier in a timely manner?

I received a notice of airbag recall safety recall 16S26 for passenger airbag replacement. I have called advantage Ford several times in July and again today trying to get this recall done. Today I was told that the parts are still not in and they will call me when they come in.
Takata recall--my dealer says the inflators are not available.....it's been years!!! and I am till waiting.....this is ridicules. The Ford dealer can't fix the problem with the part.
Tajata recall. Ford notified me in July 2016 that the air bags could cause injury or death and needed to be repaired or replace. To date, October 30, 2017, they can not effect the repair. I called a dealer today and was told the parts are not available and will not be for some time. I cannot use the car without undue stress.
Takada recall the driver side air bag was replaced over a year ago and now I am still waiting to get the passenger side replaced. Nobody seems to care.
Takata recall. Recall dated June 1, 2016/NHTSA recall number 16S26. How long shall I wait for a remedy andcan or should the passenger side airbags be disabled in the meantime?
"takata recall" I received a safety recall notice in May 2016 notifying me of the recall for the driver and passenger side air bag inflator. I made an appointment with mike patton Ford in lagrange ga. They replaced the driver side air bag inflator on 08/22/2016. They said the passenger side air bag inflator was not available and would let me know when it was. I have checked back several times, but it still was not in stock. Still waiting. The car has not been driven since as I don't want to possibly injure someone riding with me.
I have written to Ford four times asking for them to repair the takata inflator in our Mustang, beginning in early 2016. I have receive four form responses telling me that they understand that this issue "is important to you", that I can continue to drive the vehicle (they noticeably omitted the word 'safely') and that "the volume and scope of the industry-wide takata airbag inflator recalls have created unique replacement parts challenges". I get it, but it's been several years. I didn't buy an air bag inflator from takata, I bought a Mustang from Ford. Ford should be going to alternative providers for this part. They are, clearly, putting their interests and profits before the safety of my family. I'm not okay with this. In fact I'm outraged by it. I've heard enough from Ford's "customer service representatives". I'd like my car fixed so it is safe to drive. Period. Or, they can repay me my $35,000. I'll use it to purchase a vehicle that is safe to operate.
