Paint bubbles on aluminum hood. Gets worse if there are stone chips or other damage.

The hood of the car greatly reduces resale value.

We didn't notice the bubbling paint on the very front of the engine hood until around 3 years old when I took it in for service, the car was just over 36k, I noticed it under the very front lip on the hood just barely creeping up on the front edge. All across the width of the hood, it was obvious that the bubbling paint had been there for awhile as I explained to the ford representative at Drew Frod in La Mesa which has now been taken over by Penske. They took pictures and sent them to Ford for a ruling on the repair, Ford came back and stated that it is not covered under the standard or extended warranty, Drew ford stated that they would split the cost of the repair with me at $250.00, I agreed and they told me they will get back to me with a date to bring it in, I waited 1 week and called back and was told that the rep who helped me will call me back, yeah right this went on and on, Horrible customer service, I obviously got caught up in the change over from Drew Ford to Penske Ford. I just kept getting the runaround! I just brought my car in for the 60k service, I bought the extended warranty, thank god for that, I have other issues that I will be posting, I'm totally fed up with Ford and the different organizations representing them. I had the service completed and actually got an appointment with the collision department ? All they did was take pictures of the paint now bubbling up over the front of the hood badly, sent to Ford and was rejected for repair, PENSKE did not even offer a solution to fix it, just that ford will not. Wonderful ! Unfortunately I missed the call and just got the voicemail message. Like I stated above I have more issues to list, problem is we like the car ! But now I'm looking into legal help and searching for class action lawsuits on this subject.

So, apparently there is a known paint issue with Ford that they have refused to repair or even prevent. My 3rd Mustang in a row, may well be my last.
