Takata recall air bag. I got a notice in July of 2015 concerning the driver air bag on my 2013 Mustang. It has now been 6 months with no resolve. I just talked to Ford motor customer service. They stated it would be second quarter of 2016 before parts are available. That could be another 6 months. This is totally unacceptable. Something needs to be done immediately. I need this car for transportation so I take my life in my hands each time I drive it. The recall states it could kill the driver or passenger or both.

My car is part of the takata air bag recall. The recall date was in may of 2015. I received a letter from Ford in July confirming that my car was part of the recall. I waited about two months and then I called the dealership asking if they knew when the part would be in to fix the issue. They told me they did not know when the part would be available but they would call me as soon as it was in. I called the national Ford customer service line and they informed me it would be at least April of 2016 before the part would be available. I don't think it's acceptable to wait almost one year to replace airbags that have been linked to serious injuries and deaths. I understand there is a high demand for replacement parts but they could have went with another company to get a replacement part. I am concerned when I drive my car now that if something were to happen I might be injured by the airbag that is supposed to protect me.

I received a recall notice on my Mustang's airbags five months ago. Ford has now followed up on the original recall notice, nor will they fix the problem when I take it to a dealership. I am very much worried about the safety of my vehicle.

We received a safety recall notice 15S21/NHTSA recall 15V-319 from Ford in July 2015. The letter states..in the event of a crash, and the drivers side frontal airbag ruptures, metal fragments could strike occupants causing injury/death. Based on this notice, we have not driven the car since receiving the recall notice form Ford. I contacted Ford customer care @ 800392-3673. I spoke to supervisor al and told him we were not driving our car due to recall notice. When will it be repaired. He said unknown when parts will be available. He said, NHTSA said the 2013 Ford Mustang is safe to drive until parts become available. Is the Mustang safe to drive or not. What is your recommendation on.

Turned vehicle to the left out of a driveway, pressed on accelerator pedal to shift from 1st to 2nd, back end fishtailed, shifted into neutral to try to decrease the spin of the tires, pumped the brakes, over corrected and hit a parked vehicle at between 15 to 20 miles per hour. Only one person in my vehicle and the other car was parked no one in vehicle. Drivers airbag didn't deploy from the impact.
