For most FORD's the transmission goes out around 88000.

But here is my story, I got this Vehicle everything works good, and when i hit 88400 miles the transmission starts to slam and shifts VERY hard. Took it to the Dealership they said i need a new tranny

have had problems shifting into 2nd gear from time to time, its like the knob hits a stop about halfway in ad wont go any further. the only way to shift at that point is to take it all the way back out to neutral and try again. major pain!
