Ranger XLT 4

  • Manual transmission
  • 70,000 miles

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

Engine accelerates on it's own ... manual trans. ... put the clutch in & with foot off the gas ... rpms rev from 2500 up to 3400 and back a few times ... has been intermit. problem over the last 4 years ... have replaced idle air control 3 times ... fuel sensor once ... each time it goes away for awhile .. reappears in about 10-12 months .. dealer was stumped last time .. they ran some 'cleaner' through the system ($105) ... lasted about 4 days ...

i bought this truck new thinking a 'new' vehicle would be trouble free at least for the first few years (I tend to keep vehicles 8-10 years ... 100k miles min). This has been a troubled truck since I purchased it. Always something going year after year. I think (each time) this will be the last fix.

This has been my first Ford .... and definitely my last ....
