Ranger Edge 4.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 48,000 miles

I've had this truck in 4 times to repair the transmission. The first was under warranty. The transmission wouldn't shift into first until after I started accelerating from a stop. The second time was for very hard shifting in parking lots with light throttle and sometimes surging/searching for the right gear with light throttle. The third time I had the valve body replaced and that helped the most, but it still does it often enough to be an annoyance.
