A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

I HAVE A SEVERE RATTLE IN THE FRONT END. I FIRST TOOK IT TO THE LOCAL FORD DEALER AND THEY PUT NEW BUSHINGS IN THE FRONT STABILIZER WITH NO RESULTS. I TOOK IT BACK AND THEN THEY SAID IT NEEDS TIE-RODS. SO I THEN TOOK IT TO A VERY REPUTABLE SERVICE SHOP FOR A 2ND OPINION AND THEY SAID I NEEDED BALL JOINTS. SO WITH 2 DIFFERENT OPINIONS I ELECTED TO GET A 3RD. THE NEXT SHOP SAID THE FRONT END WAS SOLID AND VERY TIGHT SUGGESTING IT MAY BE IN THE STEERING COLUMN. I AM TOTALLY FRUSTRATED. PLEASE HELP

Have an annoying rattle in the steering column. Steering is not effected, no play in the wheel, just an annoying rattle. Will be taking truck to mechanic soon. Anyone else have this annoying problem?

Ranger Edge V6

while driving i hear a rattle in the steering column. steering is not an issue. there's just an annoying rattle and i'm not sure if it's the column or something the steering wheel is connected to? I'll have to dig further, it's noticeable on smooth or slightly bumpy roads.

beginning to sound like a beater truck, but it's in great cosmetic shape and still clean!
